Pop Songstress Camille Peruto Unveils New Single “Pretty on the Outside”

“Pretty on the Outside” is a very new sound for me. I’ve always identified as a pop/rock singer songwriter, but this song (and upcoming album) is a lot darker and more real than anything I have ever released. The song is about how we see everything from an outside perspective but we never truly know what someone else is thinking or feeling. “Pretty on the Outside” will set the stage for the album as a whole, which focuses on taking negative situations and looking at them in a brighter light.

Admit your vulnerabilities; it’s part of being human. It’s okay to reflect on the good & bad, and it’s definitely okay to admit that you’re not okay. My debut single, “Criminal,” is about self-reflection and looking towards a brighter future.

Written and recorded during late 2020 and early 2021, “Checkered Past” sees Tracii Guns, Phil Lewis, and company continuing with the darker lyrical tone of the preceding studio albums, “The Devil You Know” and “The Missing Peace”, while incorporating their classic rock influences into the mix. Heavier songs are mixed with bluesier, boogie inducing tracks and dark, introspective ballads, often harkening back to the first three albums the band made, but also pushing the band forward. When fans absorb the album as a whole, they’ll see that the tracklisting is divided up into ‘sets’ or ‘suites’, where a sonic style is explored across multiple songs before moving on to the next, making for a remarkable listening experience.

Berlin-based genre-defying LOSERS release endearing “Follow You” video

Today, Berlin-based genre-defying band LOSERS have unveiled their new music video “Follow You” – the last single/video taken off their new EP, EP01 (release date: June 28, 2021). The music and lyrics to “Follow You” were written by guitarist/vocalist Paul Mullen and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Tom Bellamy back in 2015. Bellamy remembers, “Quite often in our process we would be working on a piece of music and Paul would suddenly spring to the mic and try to guide a vocal. Paul then came up with the ‘Follow You’ refrain and top line melody and instantly it connected with us.” They spent some time over the course of a year, writing lyrics that built up more imagery around that theme. “I love that part of the process,” Bellamy says excitedly, “Filling in the blanks so to speak. It’s like finishing off a jigsaw puzzle (which I also love!). We ended up with something that really felt special to me.”

Candlebox Releases New Single “All Down Hill from Here”

Seattle multi-platinum rock band Candlebox releases “All Down Hill from Here,” a new single from their upcoming album, Wolves. Vocalist Kevin Martin co-wrote the song with Christopher Thorne of Blind Melon. The inspiration behind the song came from the two long-time friends musing on the fleeting nature of fame. Martin says, “It can be challenging to be an artist who has enjoyed great success, and then down the line, still has great fans, but never really achieves that great success again. A lot of our friends in bands are in that position now. It’s a story I think a lot of people can relate to, not only musicians. Like the boxer who’s on his last legs, he still has an opportunity. You really can’t count anyone out.”
