Progressive stoner rock trio APE SHIFTER has dropped a groove-heavy new single, “Village Strut,” available today via all digital music providers via Heavy Progressive Records.
“Village Strut” comes on the heels of APE SHIFTER’s first digital single since the release of 2019’s Ape Shifter II album, “Betty Davis,” which was released on July 26 to coincide with the American funk and soul singer’s 76th birthday. Inspired by Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top “Village Strut” is full of rock ‘n’ roll swagger.

Spotlight is an island feel good dance hit from nationally known LA based duo St. Oshun (C-Dub and Porsché Carmon). Spotlight, produced by CP the Creator (John Legend producer), is a song about uplifting two women from Charles’ past who couldn’t seem to escape their own demons in high school. C-Dub’s story fostered a collab with Pretty Party, a LA based hair extension company who now own Michael Jackson’s final residence. Spotlight is slated to drop across all streaming platforms on August 19 along with their official music video.
