Singer-Songwriter Allison Ponthier Releases Debut EP ‘Faking My Own Death;’ Video for Title Track Out Today
“The EP has genuinely changed my life,” Ponthier says of Faking My Own Death. “After making it, I feel like I finally stripped away all the parts of myself that I was wearing to appease other people and got to all of my favorite parts that I was hiding for so long.”
Annabel Gutherz Releases New Single “Remnant,” from ‘Loose Ends’ Album
Today, singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz shares her new single and lyric video, “Remnant,” from her upcoming debut album ‘Loose Ends.’
“Remnant” is an emotionally poignant coming of age track. Atop Americana-influenced guitar and understated percussion, Annabel’s soothing vocals croon about lost friendship: “You were someone that I used to know / But where oh where did that girl go / Now you’re just a remnant of that dear old friend / Stuck in the body of Miss Pretend.”
OLI & Da Candy team up for “Loco”
“Loco” is a track which was made in the middle of the corona lockdown. A longing after partying, celebrating and seeing happy people together made this song write itself. The song is produced and featured by the successful Ukrainian-born dj Da Candy, now living in Russia. “Loco” features a very direct style of singing and songwriting, inspired by Love, Sex and a sweaty dance floor. The production is very modern, very dancy and It has both summer vibes and a club feeling over it.
Velvets launch “Loved by You” single
Velvets release the digital single “Loved by You” on the 6th of August. The Finnish rock n roll duo once again embraces the sweet and tender side of classic sounding rock. Smooth guitar licks, warm melodies and memorable lyrics set the mood of “Loved by You”, a love song with lyrics dedicated to one of band members soon to be wife. The Wandering Hearts today release their long-awaited self-titled second album, alongside a new video for ‘On Our Way’. The project started in 2019 with writing sessions in their studio in Hackney, before they headed to the Catskills for recording with producers Simone Felice (Jade Bird, The Lumineers) and David Baron. The finishing touches came early in 2020, when they collaborated with the legendary Marty Stuart on ‘Dreams’ at the Cash Cabin in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Poppy has just announced an expansive world tour in support of her forthcoming new album Flux, slated for release September 24 via Sumerian Records. Flux was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (M83, Air, St. Vincent), who had Poppy and her band record live to tape, resulting in an organic feel that feels especially suited to live performance.
