Mary Scholz Releases Atmospheric New Single “Into the Wind”
In the wake of a year of global isolation, acclaimed singer-songwriter Mary Scholz today announced the release of a new song about the ties that bind us to loved ones passed. Titled “Into the Wind,” this folk hymn, out July 27th, floats between this world and the next, exploring how the bereaved maintain connections through storytelling. Accompanied by an acoustic video, this song is Scholz’s third single released in partnership with Blue Élan Records co-founder Kirk Pasich and KZZ Music. It arrives ahead of a collaboration between Scholz and KZZ Music this fall, during which the artist will record her 3rd studio album.

After a decade of success with EXO, as well as numerous standalone singles and soundtracks, Empathy is D.O.’s first official solo project. Among the album’s 8 tracks, the single “Rose” is an acoustic folk song with an impressive light guitar rhythm, featuring lyrics written by D.O. himself.

Pageants—Long Beach, CA-based duo of partners and bandmates Rebecca Coleman and Devin O’Brien—today shared “Worse,” the gently impassioned final single off their new album Sun and Settled Days out this Friday, July 30th. “‘Worse’ is a self-soothing lullaby for my overwhelmed psyche and others in a similar position,” explains Coleman. “I wrote this at a time when I was really missing Devin while he was on tour with Cherry Glazerr. All we could really do to actually see each other was FaceTime once in a while, and when we did get the chance to FaceTime, we’d always kiss the screen at the end of our call. So sad lol.”
