UK Electro-Punk act STRANGE BONES share music video for “JUNGLE”

STRANGE BONES new single “JUNGLE,” might best be described with one simple but powerful word – “anthemic”. The band injects a high octane fusion of guitar-driven punk rock, heavy electronica, and influences from the heyday of acts like The Prodigy and Blur into their latest single off ENGLAND SCREAMS, out August 20th via FRKST / 300 Entertainment – propelling it forward at breakneck speeds and capturing the sort of controlled chaos that these young madmen are known to manifest. Today, the band share a music video capturing the frenetic energy of the song, with heavily edited live shots of the band mixed with a cacophony of colors and mind-racing imagery. Serpentine guitar riffs interplay with the driving sub-bass and explosive percussion to create a framework for frontman Bobby Bentham’s (almost) lethally captivating vocal performance. You can watch the video for “Jungle” here.

Matthew E. White Releases “Electric” Single/Video From New Album ‘K Bay’ Out September 10th Via Domino

Matthew E. White today shared “Electric,” the ebullient second single from his new solo album K Bay due out on September 10TH via Domino. The track’s video, directed by Wes Parker, finds Matthew getting his hair trimmed for the first time in years, a cut as long-awaited as K Bay itself. “I wrote this song after listening to ‘Me, My Baby And My Cadillac’ by Sleepy Brown,” Matthew explains. “I wanted to write something so intentionally direct like that. When we recorded I wanted the playing to come across raw, limit the instruments and let everything redline from start to finish. The lyrics are mostly pure 60’s bubblegum pop – think Brill Building Carole King – an homage to the overtly saccharine songwriting style of that era. There’s really an absurdity, and theater to it all.”

The War On Drugs have never done that as well as they do with their fifth studio album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, an uncommon rock album about one of our most common but daunting processes—resilience in the face of despair.
