Nashville Recording Artist Ashley Jordan Premieres New Single & Music Video

Of the single, Jordan shares, “For me, the process of growing up involved the letting go of the ideals/fairytales I had as a little girl regarding love and relationships. I had to finally accept that love is sometimes messy and confusing and that often it feels like you’re being pulled in different directions – towards the light and sometimes into the darkness. My song ‘Angels and Demons’ expresses that confusion in growing up and learning to love and be loved – and about the hope for becoming who you are supposed to be.”

JORJA SMITH UNVEILS VIDEO FOR “HOME”

Further to unveiling her highly-anticipated 8-track EP Be Right Back last month, Jorja Smith has today unveiled a touching accompanying visual to one of its tracks ‘Home’.

Shot by British Director, Rob Akin in Uxbridge, England – Jorja states that, “The song is about people in relationships that aren’t healthy or good for them – they deserve better but don’t know any different. It’s about people keeping up appearances. This video is reflective of the times I used to babysit whilst growing up, as well as my own family experiences – the video is just a take on what I’ve seen.” – a scene which is mirrored in the video as Jorja takes on the role of a babysitter whilst looking on at the mother of the children enduring a challenging time.

WITHERED Streams New Album ‘Verloren’ Ahead of Release

WITHERED guitarist and vocalist Mike Thompson comments, “Releasing a new album is likely the closest I’ll ever get to welcoming a child into the world. The culmination of all Withered’s effort being on the precipice of release will always give me pause. To reflect upon crafting most of ‘Verloren’ during an unconceived global pandemic with a permeating uncertainty will be an ongoing exercise for me. I think that Beau, Dan, Rafay, and I have accomplished our goal of capturing & exorcising the loss, forlornness, and frustrations that burden each of us. And, I hope anyone who sits down with this record can get a sense of that and harness their own cathartic release. ‘Verloren’ traverses a lot of territory so enjoy settling into it. We’ll see everyone on the other side and hopefully out in the wild soon.”

Jaffe explained to Grateful Web the meaning behind his latest single, “Shape of Fear”, in which we can all relate to in one way or another. “Without me realizing it, fear has become a theme in my songs. TORONTO BAD GYAL EBHONI ANNOUNCES “GOOD DICK & WEED” MIXTAPE

“Rotation” is built around a low-lit trap beat and dizzy synths, a roomy production that leaves space for Ebhoni’s magnetic personality. From the opening moments, she makes a case for putting herself first, leaving lovers waiting by the phone. “Make ‘em get a little impatient,” she coos. “Whatever’s happenin’ have ‘em waiting.” Throughout the cut, she leans into that mindset, prioritizing stacking cash and traveling the world over carnal pleasures. ELUJAY REVEALS STUNNING NEW SINGLE ‘ FREQUENTLY’ // WATCH HERE

“Frequently is a carefree black joy anthem about obtaining wealth in a currency, energy and love sense. It was made in the midst of the pandemic when people were deprived of financial means, social interactions and mental clarity. People around me were thinking of many money schemes or ways to acquire quick amounts of cash . My friends got me invested in the stock-market and crypto currency, and it was just a record inspired by that kind of energy. The energy is also stemmed from breaking bread with your family and loved ones while seeing everyone around you prosper. I hope frequently is a jam people can run back this summer.
