Bad Suns Share “Heaven Is A Place In My Head” Video
Los Angeles-based band Bad Suns recently shared their catchy new single “Heaven Is A Place In My Head,” produced by the band’s longtime producer Eric Palmquist. After rewatching David Lynch’s cult classic Twin Peaks, vocalist Christo Bowman “suddenly felt the urge to write this sugary pop punk song, dressed up in leather, glitter, 80’s synthesizers and chiming guitars.” The summery sound and up tempo vibe of the song, however, were inspired by the excitement provoked at the thought of hitting the road this fall.
YUNGMANNY RELEASES NEW TRACK AND VIDEO “COLOR BLIND”
Today, emerging 17-year-old DMV rapper YungManny releases new track and video “Color Blind.” Following the release of his viral hit “Clap For ‘Em” – which currently has nearly 6 million streams on Spotify alone – featuring Flo Milli and Sada Baby, “Color Blind” once again highlights Manny’s signature buoyant energy and catchy verses that he’s known for over a upbeat tempo.
The L.A-based house ace has long paid his dues within the house circuit, with years of crafting quality grooves under his belt. His well-rounded output has put him in good standing with tastemakers from the likes of Chris Lake, Green Velvet, Claude VonStroke, Lee Foss and the list goes on. His new two-track release shows two distinct sides of his sound. The first of which takes the shape of “Take Me Away,” a deep and intoxicating number about succumbing to the overwhelming feeling of falling for someone new. Singer/songwriter Steven Klavier, who has seen critical acclaim from his previous work with Moon Boots, adds a honeyed touch with his smooth vocal delivery. On the flipside, ‘Kol Me’ brings it back to the dancefloor with a bleepy and cheeky tech house flavor.

Taleban Dooda Isn’t Letting Anything Slide in “My Bruddas”
Taleban Dooda is poised to be Tampa’s next breakout star thanks to his melodic tenor and soul-baring lyricism. Linking up with OMB Peezy, he continues his ascent by sharing the video for “My Bruddas.” The highlight track from his debut album, Fallen Angel, finds the duo waxing poetic about staying loyal and settling scores. The dire situations which they depict provide a stark contrast from the hazy, laid-back video, where they kick it in Hollywood in front of all-black SUVs.
PEYTON SHARES NEW SINGLE “DON’T U WANNA FLY”; DEBUT ALBUM OUT JULY 23
Today, Houston-based singer-songwriter Peyton shares her new single, “Don’t U Wanna Fly,” from her upcoming debut album PSA dropping on July 23 on Stones Throw. The track was produced by Biako, Insightful, David Phelps and Vicky Farewell. “Don’t U Wanna Fly” embraces a wide-eyed youthful curiosity and gives a more intimate understanding of Peyton’s fearless approach to artistic expression. “When we were young, we were so impressionable, amazed by the small joys in life, and eager to be creative and imaginative. As we get older, that feeling dims as we get distracted by our daily lives. ‘Don’t U Wanna Fly’ is a reminder to hold on to that feeling and remember it is still inside.” As portrayed in the music video for “Don’t U Wanna Fly” directed by Yenifer Espinoza, music is in Peyton’s DNA. She started playing violin at the age of 5 and singing in her church gospel further aided her musical development, leading Peyton to see music as a form of comfort and expression from a young age.

Artist: One Last Job – Track: Tiptoe
“Tiptoe” was written about a year after graduating college, moving across the country, and joining the workforce as a corporate consultant. The song is about the feeling of looking up one day and realizing that the people you spend the most time around have ceased to be your friends and have instead become who you’re forced to be with. To some degree we all possess a capacity to adapt to this–to make small-talk and force a laugh and attend ritual happy hours–but acquaintances of necessity and proximity come at the cost of constricting your personality little by little. This song is about noticing that slight rewording of the sentence, that more conservative choice of shirt, that editing of the persona that marks the tragic tendency of growing up–acknowledging your vulnerability, counting your blessings, and resolving not to rock the boat.
