Sharing a sneak peek into the luxurious life of a young boss, Mal shares “Watch Ya Step,” his new music video. A relentless trap track with screeching synths, dramatic strings, and pounding 808s, “Watch Ya Step” finds Yung Mal trading verses with Slimelife Shawty, a fellow Atlanta native and Alamo Records signee, each emcee alternating aggressive taunts with boastful bars: “I done worked my way to the top, no help/Get high like a bird, then I talk to myself,” spits Mal.
Charlotte’s Jaah SLT Gets It Jumpin with “Toxic” Video
Storming out of Charlotte with a fiery intensity and a sing-song flow, Jaah SLT is mastering a bass-heavy style of his own. Coming through with fresh heat for a scorching NC summer, Jaah shares “Toxic,” a brand new banger. Produced by Glockley, who mixes detuned synths and screeching strings into an entrancingly haunting blend, “Toxic” is a high-octane smack talker, the 20-year-old rapper switching on a dime from calm boasts to full-throated belts in between distorted kicks: “I ain’t rich, but I got enough bread to steal your b*tch,” snarls Jaah.

Miami-based psych-rock outfit MOLD! tease the release of their debut full-length effort NO SILENCE! with the spacey, garage-rock infused single “YOU ARE BEING LIED TO!” The track was written by founding band member Carlo Barbacci and former bassist Bronto Montano, and expresses their emotional conflict about leaving their home of Lima, Peru back in 2017, to embark on their journey Stateside–and the existentialism that arises from leaving everything behind to start anew.

In the video, Abitz’s weird world of animated screen time validation and phallic competition weaves in and out of readymade commercial grade stock footage, slowly building alongside a surfy drum machine drone and my layered vocal admonition to ‘ditch the dirtbag.’

Detroit rapper Babyface Ray has been on a tear becoming one to watch with the release of his Unfuckwitable EP and the subsequent drop of the deluxe version of the EP which featured Veeze, Peezy, Murda Beatz, and Jack Harlow. Indie electro artist Onsen reflects on violence against LGBTQ+ community with “Momma Said”
Los Angeles based indie artist Onsen is weaving his own intricate, experimental story of love and self-realization this Pride month with the brand new single “Momma Said.” Written in the form of a Greek Tragedy, the song follows the tale of a young individual that identifies as gay, who faces rejection at home and finds his own identity in the outside world. “Momma Said” was originally written after the horrific shooting that took place at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, and has evolved in the five years since.
