Norway’s DIVEST Announce New EP ‘Mercury Retrograde’ Released 11th June 2021 via Sellout! Music
Oslo, Norway-based band Divest are pleased to announce that their new EP Mercury Retrograde will be released on 11th June 2021 via Norwegian independent label Sellout! Music (Beezewax, Pelicat).
Lead single ‘By My Side’ is the first taste of the record, released on 21st May 2021 and available on all good digital service providers.
Coming off their popular 2020 release ‘High off Love,’ Angemi and Like Mike are back at it with the lyric-led groove bomb ‘We Come One.’ Like Mike’s effortless vocals fuse with the song’s lively instrumentals, creating an energetic rhythm distinctively enriched with a danceable punch! The two musical powerhouses also recently worked together on the DVLM single ‘We’ll Be Dancing Soon’ with Azteck, which is part of a broader campaign throughout Europe for Coca-Cola.
KILLY Releases “RICK BOOTS” + Video
Once again, his airtight bars and unpredictable flows incinerate the FREAKEY!, OMAR GUETFA and A.D. produced beat. The bold chorus is delivered with insatiable passion: “I can’t, I can’t/Keep these voices out my head/Just try to see sh*t through my lens/They turnt they back left me for dead.” The accompanying music video, directed by Dave Tim, continues what has become a tradition of high-octane and high energy visuals for KILLY. It showcases his undeniable star power and otherworldly ferocity.
K.Flay releases new single ‘TGIF’ ft. Tom Morello
Today, modern music’s alternative mad scientist K.Flay drops ‘TGIF’, a spinning carousel of a rock song which critiques society’s trend of tuning out the bullshit of the world when the weekend arrives. It features guitarwork by the one-and-only living legend Tom Morello, and is a cut off the GRAMMY-nominee’s forthcoming EP Inside Voices, out June 11th via BMG.
Her upcoming EP The World Of Pinkfiz, features four pop-punk tracks all giving a glimpse into the emotions and life experiences of PinkFiz. The musician explains, “The World Of PinkFiz is an insight into my life and I want the listener to feel like they’re stepping into my shoes for 11 minutes.” Produced, recorded and written all by the artist herself, the EP is a passion project and an outlet to release her inner-frustrations and feelings. The EP has a delicate glaze over the electric, powerful punk infusion, creating a picture of both vulnerable emotions and angsty frustration. She confides, “I wrote the songs about different eras of my life so far and it’s based on a lot of bottled up anger. I felt this was the right way to release that emotion and honestly the easiest way for me to talk about things that have bothered me for a long time.”
Regrown practice self-acceptance on new track “Deep End”
Today, New Jersey emo/pop-punk quartet Regrown shared their new single and video, “Deep End.” The track is a guitar-driven anthem, harkening back to the sound of bands like Four Year Strong and With The Punches. Lyrically, the song dives into themes of self-acceptance and learning not to need validation from others. “Deep End” marks the third single from their upcoming debut EP, Closed Casket Material, due out June 18th on Unbeaten Records. You can watch the video for “Deep End” here now and find the track on Spotify and all streaming services now.
The trio first released the lead single and title track “Come To Life,” an inspiring ballad featuring delicate layers of piano loops, vibrant string arrangements, and a driving drum beat. Other highlights include “One More,” a sweeping atmospheric offering inspired by existentialism and shooting stars, and the “glossy nocturnal ballad (Under The Radar) “Hold On.”
Helping shape the warm and soulful sound of his hometown Chicago music scene, Smoko Ono makes textured instrumentals that feel both warm and futuristic. Recruiting one of the most beloved voices in R&B for his latest single, Smoko shares “You Are” ft. Corinne Bailey Rae & UMI. A song about loving someone with the totality of your being, “You Are” is drenched in reverb, offering ringing guitars–played by multi-Platinum artist Daniel Caesar–and sumptuous bass perfectly suited for headphone listening. Deriving its power from a powerful lead vocal from Bailey Rae, and aided by gorgeous harmonies from the 22-year-old UMI, “You Are” springs to life in its room-enveloping hook, with Smoko accenting the melody with plinks of glockenspiel in a move that harkens back to the 1970s heyday of psychedelic soul.
“‘Fed Up’ was written mid lockdown,” says Shomo. “I really couldn’t think of what to write about, so I just started thinking, ‘What am I fed up with in life at the moment?’ and wrote it down. The vibe of this song is garage rock with muddy, blown-out tones. We mixed that with the more pop styling on the vocals, and it made for a really special track.”
Currently in the midst of the biggest climb of his life (literally), tackling the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, internationally acclaimed, GRAMMY nominated artist and philanthropist Mike Posner is back with new music. “Jealousy,” a new collaboration with blackbear is out today via Arista Records.
Today, Coma Culture shares their final single “Martha” from their upcoming LP Camouflage, out June 25th on The Repost Network. Under The Radar premiered the track, praising how “spacious keys and lush beds of synths back the vocals as the band meditates on the daily struggle to change for the better.”
Alt Bloom Releases New Track “Fly Away”
Giving the whimsical and free-spirited Peter Pan a nod, on the chorus Alt Bloom sings “I’m one of the lost boys now/Too young to break/Too old to bow/And I mean it when I say/This world is gonna change/I’m one of the lost boys now.” Speaking on the track, Alt Bloom states “‘Fly Away’ is one of those songs that was written line by line,” Alt Bloom states. “Each line was a reflection on something in my life. It sings down like a fable to me now, and I derive different truths from it whenever I perform it.”
4 Minutes Later Share Epic New Single “Grace”
The curious case of 4 Minutes Later began in 2018, when the account tweeted “music coming soon.” No band members, no band images, no shows, no location given, just the promise of music. It wasn’t long before curiosity captured an online audience and #whois4ML trended across the UK, USA and Mexico, before even releasing a song.
