Bryce Fox Releases New Music Video For “Golden Boy” Via ONErpm
Nashville based artist alt rocker Bryce Fox has released a new visual for his latest single “Golden Boy.” A cinematic, Tarantino-esque production, the new video adds further depth to a track that needed no help in that regard. With a punchy hook and musing, witty verses, “Golden Boy” is a pointed song with underlying criticisms of the state of the U.S. during the time it was written. With dizzying visuals and caricature like archetypes the new music video only enhances the original messaging.
Glass House Point Release Contemplative New EP “Verglas”
Alternative rock band Glass House Point have released their new EP “Verglas,” available on all digital streaming platforms NOW. Their first EP in four years, “Verglas” is a stunning collection of introspective tracks rooted in indie influences, yet provides a fresh take on their sound. The tracks were inspired by lead vocalist Dylan Graham’s own personal experiences with self-reflection and isolation while living on the road, and those contemplative influences ring heavy in the EP’s production.
“Bleedways” was born of necessity. Its roots scratched at Benson as if begging for expulsion. Its chords came almost instantly, and its shape morphed and refined itself until it breathed on its own. Its lyrical concept, similarly, is of purging. The spiral frustration from years of attempting to erase — to strikethrough — one’s past failures can ultimately lead to acceptance via ownership. We are as defined by our moments of horror as we are by our moments of peace.
“Clouds” by NOA & A.L.D.O.
Austin-based songstress, NOA collaborates with Aldo Ramón (Menudo) in “Clouds,” a breezy reggae pop-track with a splash of cumbia. NOA penned lyrics that were inspired by her connection to music itself—music is an entity, a deity, and an energy that she can call upon and connect with regardless of what is happening in life. The music is inspired by Augustus Pablo, who uses melodica in reggae music and Aniceto Molina, a Colombian artist who infuses accordion in cumbia. NOA was brought into the Color Red family by Jeff Waluch, manager of Adelaide, Australia-based neo-blues act Kings & Associates who are fellow collaborators on the music discovery platform. “Clouds” represents the merger between hard work and playfulness in the organic, spontaneous way the content came together and the leap of faith NOA took to trust her gut and go for it rather than obsessing over perfection. This is the first single in an ongoing partnership with additional music to be released over the course of 2021.
