BETTER DRUGS + FAIR TO MOVE ON

I wrote “Better Drugs” eight months after watching the world burn, with everything so exposed and gross. Like we had all lost too many pieces of ourselves to put back together or something…I wondered how fundamental it was, like how broken are we, you know? On top of that, I had a very sudden death in the family 48 hours before we went into the studio to record.

Darkness-bound, catchy as can be, their debut album ‘Exordium’ hits the bullseye from start to finish, with thick commanding riffs, a razor-sharp rhythm section and Johanna Lundberg’s sultry and fiery vocals wrapping the whole album like a fireball. About new single “You”, the band comments: “The song is about society with all its norms and standards keeping you from being your true self. Brazil-Based Vocalist/Instrumentalist and Viral YouTuber Violet Orlandi, Premieres New Single via LOUD WOMEN

She has been putting out new videos every Sunday, and most recently her take on “Ain’t No Sunshine,” featuring Melodicka Bros, already has over 100k views since its release on March 7th. Orlandi states, “High Priest Daughter was written over the darkest period of my life. I didn’t even know I was doing it but writing these songs definitely helped me exorcise some of the demons that were taking over my life at the time. I started writing the album a year before my mom passed away and finished it a year after her death. Even though the album doesn’t sound as depressing as it seems, it explores death and coming to terms with it, depression, trauma, and a healthy dose of nihilism.”

WITHERED Premieres New Song “Casting in Wait” via No Clean Singing

Speaking of the song, the band comments, “Humanity’s obsession with glorifying the ego beyond death through legacy is one of the biggest exercises in futility. It’s perhaps the most elegant & noble way to waste one’s existence here. No matter the effort put forth, the earth will rise in tide, open up in darkness, and puke ash into the atmosphere erasing all traces. There is nothing immortal except what we all become. Worm shit that fuels earth’s inevitable return to harmony & humility.”
