Debut single, “Germ Free High Fives”

The night that “Germ Free High Fives” was recorded, Toronto was experiencing a massive flood. We considered rescheduling but Val was 8 months pregnant. So we set up all the mics and went ahead with a plan to record the song live off the floor. Everything began falling apart during the first take. Owen broke a string and by the time he replaced it, Paul’s amp started crackling and humming as smoke rose out the back – it was completely fried. Next, a major downpour started outside. The wind and rain pounded away at the studio walls, with the power soon cutting in and out.

PETER MANOS & KINDNESS SHARE ‘DO YOU TURN RED? (REIMAGINED)’ EP

Do You Turn Red? (Reimagined) completely reinvents each track from Manos’ debut EP. This version of “In My Head” adds glassy strings to the tangle of heavy emotions on Manos’ 2019 Gold-certified breakthrough, which was named a Song You Need to Know by Rolling Stone, has garnered 350 million streams globally, and appeared on the soundtrack to Netflix’s To All the Boys: Always and Forever. “Tennessee,” which The New York Times said encapsulated “pure male angst,” gets an immersive rework that swaps gentle piano for the original’s plush synths.

Texas-and-Italy-based singer-songwriter Vanessa Peters is set to release a new album, Modern Age, on April 23, 2021 via Idol Records. “Making this record over the last year was an exercise in patience and tenacity; the pandemic seemed to thwart us at every turn,” says Peters. “Every plan turned into a plan B, but strangely, I think it’s a better record for the adversity we went through to get it made. This was the year of working with what was in front of us, of embracing our limitations and turning them into strengths. I’m so proud of the album we created during such a tough and dark time.”

Iceage share new single “Gold City”

Rønnenfelt comments: “At home and enraptured in the fleeting moment, the sky becomes technicolor in its makeshift lucidity. A culmination made so that everything felt briefly complete. Traffic lights and the setting sun through a polluted filter, shimmering and golden.”

ALTARAGE Streams New Album in Full via No Clean Singing

ALTARAGE deliver exactly what the underground buzz around them promised. Their fourth full-length, ‘Succumb’ is bristling with black and dissonant death metal fury that immediately evokes a plethora of sinister images in the brain. Its origin lies in the destructiveness of nostalgia, among other things……

Despite the fact that this day often actually resembles a return of winter, accompanied by snowfall and sub-zero temperatures; BSÍ claim that it’s never too early for a summer tune and a decent beach party.
