Mat Kearney’s Video for ‘Anywhere With You’ Will Have You Longing to Hit the Road

On the video, Johnny commented: “Shooting the “I Don’t” music video was such a fun experience. It was the first time I’ve been back on a music video set since last fall, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. We shot the music video outside of LA with my amazing director and friend Sam Cahill on this crazy film set out in the desert. The shoot day was the first time I met Chris and Alex from DVBBS in person, as well as my co-star Ellie Zeiler. It was such a fun day, and I’m super happy with the video that we created.”

goodboy noah is a Bounty Hunter in “uptight” Video

“uptight” is co-written by Noah and Micah Gordon (Cautious Clay, Neon Trees) who also produced the sassy record, which is a nod to the popular sample originally from 70s R&B group The Whispers’ “You Are Number One” and prominently featured in Snoop/Nate Dogg’s “I’m Fly” and Monica’s “So Gone.” In typical goodboy noah fashion, the accompanying cinematic visual is a must watch and finds the Toronto native squared off in a hilarious duel with his partner-in-crime.

Lou Barlow releasing new solo LP ‘Reason to Live’ May 28th on Joyful Noise!

After decades on the road and the never-ending hustle of life as an artist, Lou Barlow has tapped into a new confidence in the chaos. In 2021, the concept of balance feels particularly intimidating. Now more than ever, it’s clear life isn’t just leveling out a pair of responsibilities. Instead, we’re chasing after a flock of different ideals with a butterfly net. On Barlow’s new solo album, Reason to Live, he has come to an understanding of that swirl rather than trying to contain it.

Hideous Divinity Talk New ‘Aliens’ (James Cameron film) Inspired EP ‘LV-426’ Out 4/23

“’Acheron, Stream of Woe’ marks another step in our sound progression. Just like James Horner’s original score, we searched for all the dramatic and dissonant elements our music could achieve. It has been a great time, both the songwriting and the studio time. We felt good, we felt at home”

Oh, and this time is about Aliens. Not a coincidence, for sure. A year has passed from the beginning of… all this. A year during which we all had to face our monsters. Very real ones. Enjoy,” states HIDEOUS DIVINITY about the track.

“Track Star” finds Mooski at his most vulnerable, sketching a narrative worthy of a dramatic Oscar—all the more impressive considering he wrote the song while playing the instrumental in his car. Despite singing about personal experiences, Mooski is able to appeal to a massive (and growing) audience. “I talk about the unspoken,” Mooski says. “When people listen to my music they’re going to be like, ‘Mooski was in my head.’ It’s going to be personal to them.”

Yung Mal Pops Bottles of “Belaire” With His New Auto-Tuned Banger

Rising from the streets of Zone 6 to the top of the ATL trap scene, Yung Mal has plenty to celebrate. Popping bottles of his favorite champagne, the Alamo Records signee shares “Belaire,” his latest video single. Switching up his vocal approach for the new song, “Belaire” finds Mal experimenting with auto-tune, giving his rhythmic patter a melodic edge as he promises to go hard every day for his: “Got rich, but the hood, I’m still there.” In the video, Mal pops a bottle of the titular champagne at an Atlanta apartment complex, mobbing with his 1.5 Da Label crew before migrating to a soundstage where he channels Diddy and employs a butler dedicated to holding his umbrella. “Belaire” is Mal’s third standout visual to hit in the past few weeks, following the flex-heavy “Look At Me Now” and “Stay Down,” which features a cameo appearance from NLE Choppa.

Orions Belte’s ‘Villa Amorini’ LP out Friday on Jansen Records

In the 90’s club scene in Bergen, Villa Amorini was the place where everything happened. This sets the scene for Orions Belte’s second album, Villa Amorini, out Friday via Jansen Records.

NEWS: Mark Rubin: Jew of Oklahoma (of the Bad Livers) to release new album ‘The Triumph of Assimilation’ on June 1

Like every good Jew, Mark Rubin looks for the humor in any situation he can. But he’s tired of being treated as an outsider in his own country, where his skin protects him from indignities non-whites suffer, but his DNA still marks him for hate. And he’s tired of not being taken seriously by people (including fellow Jews) who can’t fathom how the South-meets-West state of Oklahoma could spawn any Jews, much less a bluegrass-and-old-time-country-loving tuba and standup-bass virtuoso. Especially one known for melding acoustic roots music and hardcore punk in the influential ’90s group Bad Livers, playing polkas in dancehalls and honky-tonks across Texas with top Czech and Polish bands, and merging Klezmer and Romani music in the Other Europeans project.
