Pinkish Blu unveil new single ‘Start A Band’

Adelaide indie outfit Pinkish Blu unveil their new track ‘Start A Band’ today. The song celebrates writing and performing music together, and is the follow up to their hugely successful single, ‘Backward’ which was added to Triple j last month.

Today, Aidan Bissett released his new self-penned single, “Communication,” which marks his first release on Capitol Records. The track exudes the homespun intimacy of the three self-produced singles that catapulted him to viral success – racking up more than five million streams since their release last summer – yet finds him pushing into more adventurous sonic terrain. Recorded with Zach Farache, an up-and-coming musician/producer also known as Verzache, “Communication” unfolds in atmospheric textures and woozy rhythms, a perfect counterpart to Bissett’s sprawling guitar tones and reflective lyrics.

On the WondaGurl-produce track, KILLY cuts loose over ominously intense production. He tears into bold and braggadocious lines like, “Don’t ask me no questions. I’m thumbing through these hundreds,” before confessing, “I can’t trust nobody.” The flow oscillates between an incisive cadence on the verses and soaring power on the hook. Awash in colorful glitchy filters, the accompanying video intercuts various claustrophobic close-ups of KILLY bathed in hues of light before lasers blast from his sunglasses. It mirrors the unpredictability of the song.

“‘Catch Me’ is such a special song to me,” Wiz says. “Not only because I was a huge fan of Majan before we even got in the studio but also because this song marks a moment in time where I realized I’m really doing this whole music thing! I’m super excited to release a song where someone raps in German since I’m from Germany and lived there most of my life.”

Today, platinum-selling artist iann dior releases two new songs, packaged together as Still Here, out now via 10K Projects. Arriving on the heels of his recent iHeart Radio Music Awards nomination (Best Collaboration for “Mood” with 24KGoldn), the new duet of songs includes “shots in the dark,” featuring labelmate Trippie Redd and “don’t wanna believe.” With “shots in the dark,” iann and Trippie team up once again to create a sequel to their fan-beloved, RIAA-certified gold single “gone girl” (2019). Though iann dior has had some high-profile features on other artists’ tracks like Glass Animals’s “Heatwave” remix, Illenium’s “First Time,” and Clean Bandit’s “Higher,” Still Here is dior’s first primary release of 2021 and precedes an upcoming project, due later this year.

Grace VanderWaal unveils “Repeat,” the next song from her new alt-infused pop era. In the accompanying visual, Grace travels through the streets of Los Angeles, boldly strutting her newly found alternative style.

Produced by Tommy English, “Low Key in Love” delivers everything you could ask for in an iconic rock-and-roll duet. With its dreamy backdrop of golden guitar tones and low-slung grooves, the track finds Spiller and jackson telling their tale of a tequila-soaked night and channeling the sweet frustration of trying to hide your feelings from the one you adore.

NEW MUSIC – Nina Tribus ‘Once Upon A Show’, 16.04.2021

Nina explains: ”’Once Upon a Show’ is like a melody from a long forgotten music box from your childhood.I remember the first time I went to the theatre as a child, being transfixed by the atmosphere, I thought ‘This is perfect. This is where I want to be’. Since then, that was my dream. However as in theatre, so in life, all that glitters really isn’t gold, and often that has a bittersweet taste of disillusionment. Is it all worth it? Is this thing that I am striving for even real? I don’t know, but I do know that dreams are just like little music boxes on a shelf, and whether they turn out to be real or just an illusion, you will only ever know at the end.’

Antikraft releases the single Hold On My Heart

The music you like is putting you to sleep. There’s no exploration, and no new pursuit. It may be an echo of what rock ‘n roll used to be, but the most provoking thing you see and hear is less like a shaman calling you into unexplored territory, and more like a familiar hand down your pants, performing a familiar show.
