Raquelle aka Rocky is a Latinx (Puerto Rican and Cuban) singer, songwriter and producer based in Brooklyn. After graduating from NYU and delving into the world of production, Rocky began her musical transformation. Drawing her sound from an ethereal rich cosmos, she began concocting her potion of purples and blues, flowers and stars. From a 300 sq. ft room, Quelle Rox was born. Today she announces her debut EP ‘Lilac Rush’ and shares “No Surprises” with FLOOD Magazine.

Today, New Zealand-based pop duo Foley share their sophomore EP, ‘Vacation.’ Full of mesmerizing grooves, blissful pop melodies, and infectious energy, the 5-track EP is a captivating journey from start to finish.

As an overall concept, the ‘Vacation’ EP is a mediation on what it means to escape from routine. Whether it’s a physical getaway or just being with someone who makes you feel at your best is up to the listener’s personal interpretation. “For us, ‘Vacation’ is us trying to be our best to our partners, friends, families, and a reminder to enjoy ourselves,” Foley write. “It’s us being confident in our creativity and aspiring to be better.”

The single saw Tulliah gain further support from Wonderland, tmrw, FAULT and The Independent.

Farrugia says of the track: “I think Mackerel’s Funky Mission is an escapism mechanism…. you sort of pretend to be someone else – in this case a fish – to escape from a current situation. It’s fun to pretend you’re something else and write from that perspective. It was also inspired by the lockdown as I wanted to be a fish just to be able to travel, and also by my love for the sea. I tried to be as visual as possible with the lyrics and the story.”

Even if the themes of the songs are quite strong, the word ‘Rêvalité’ sounds hopeful, as the aim of this EP is to encourage people to face reality in order to be aware and ready to re-build our future.”
