Nisa on “Turn Me Down”:

“”We wanted to give it a cinematic feel, and the music video reflects that. It ends up being this grand journey, so super excited to have that come out. The metaphor is crystal clear: once you give up the guilt about the things that make you you, you’re free to view them from a perspective of neutrality instead of self-loathing.”

Crawling Manifest introducing a new studio album: Radical Absolution

March 2021 – Crawling Manifest is a band with a focus on creating pure and uncompromising thrash metal. Their sound captures the aggression of the old-school guard of the genre, but it also incorporates a punchier modern twist with some innovative ideas. Recently, the band actually finished working on their upcoming studio album, “Radical Absolution.” This release stands out as a perfect example of the band’s commitment to quality music, and it brims with roaring intensity. As a preview of the album, the band had the opportunity to release two studio singles, which are available on Spotify and other digital streaming music platforms as we speak. The song “Revolution” features a blistering guitar pattern and a solid drum performance, which anchors the track and gives the music a unique feel. TEP NO REVEALS STUNNING NEW SINGLE “HIGHER THAN THIS”

Canadian artist Tep No makes further stunning steps into 2021 with the reveal of new single, Higher Than This. A beautifully chill electronic pop number, the track features the restrained vocals of Tep No over delicate electronic beats. Speaking on the release, Tep No states:

The song focuses on wanting to be with someone when they’re not where you currently are, and the rush you get when you’re on your way to meet with them, hanging out with them and doing drugs together. There’s a lot of sexual tension and sexual connotations within the lyrics, where the person is convincing someone that they’re “The One”. On another level, the song tackles the issues of recreational drugs being taboo, and religious sin associated to it. If heaven finds us impure because of our actions, then we’ll go and make our own space to coexist.

Titled “Sarah When She’s Sleeping,” the song is, in his words, “a shameless declaration of love and redemption, for and by a good and kind woman.” The video, by frequent Bazilian collaborator Haley Monson, abolishes any sense of anxiety as it opens with the soft snores of his companion. It’s a return to the less troubled era of his songs and it’s mood is reminiscent of the time he wrote Joan Osbornes’s hit “One of Us.” Bazilian produced and mixed the track and plays guitars, bass, keyboards and mandola. Roman Ratej provided drums and Martin Stibernik recorded him, both remotely from Slovenia. “Sarah When She’s Sleeping,” the follow up to 2020’s “I Miss Everything,” “Heaven Ain’t Gonna Save Us” and “Help!” was released digitally on January 29 and is taken from a forthcoming full-length album.

Jeen – DON’T WAIT out now

I find “Don’t Wait” has a bit more masculinity to it than my usual stuff…so when I was trying to sort out a little lyric video for it, I thought of Matt Oswalt’s photography. He has a ton of great images he’s taken all around LA and they have a cool, lonely vibe…I thought the two would be a perfect fit together.
