ALL TIME LOW RETURNS WITH BRAND NEW SINGLE “ONCE IN A LIFETIME”

“‘Once In A Lifetime’ is a song about loss and dealing with loss, facing harsh realities and coming out the other side stronger for it,” shared All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth. “We wrote this song in bleaker times, in a world still asleep at the wheel that left us all relearning how to navigate the uncertain roads ahead, but ultimately there is a hopeful undertone to the entire sentiment. Things can only be so bad and once it’s over, it’s over; there’s room to start rebuilding. This song feels like it’s cut from the same cloth as ‘Monsters’: a progression and continued evolution from the celebration of All Time Low that was Wake Up, Sunshine.”

Brooklyn-based, Post-Rock/Shoegaze/Post-Metal Trio, SleapingDreaming Unleash Hypnotic Single

The band started as an informal side-project focused on experimentation with sound and texture. It initially constituted several members without specific instrument assignments or musical goals. Over time roles within the band became more defined as a two piece focused on a layered live experience with active integration of pre-recorded loops and electronic noise elements. In mid 2017 the band opted to bring on a third member to focus specifically on the low-end. From that point the band took on a more traditional feel, structuring music in the format of post-rock and post metal, with heavy influence from shoegaze. The band’s music is mostly instrumental and tends to be slow moving, defined by hypnotic evolutions, layering and density.

The track surprises with some well-hidden Jazz harmonies and the soothing sounds of a cello (Christian Pfeiffer), merging into an unexpected rap from Judith’s brother MC BNZ. The mesmerizing music video is complimented by projections of London artist Anne von Freyburg’s paintings, underpinning the emotions of the song.
