Out Now: Belgian-Bolivian artist Imaina releases debut EP ‘Wounds’
Today, Belgian-Bolivian artist IMAINA presents her debut EP Wounds, and shares visuals from the track ‘D.U.K’.
Written and composed by the artist herself and co-produced with Coy Lurker, her brother, the 6-tracks EP features previous singles Glass Box (praised in Gal-Dem) and Im Yours and D.U.K.. They all showcase IMAINAs melancholic electropop music, aerial synths combined with hip-hop inspired drums and percussion. The record also highlights her signature suspenseful and dramatic moments in her songs as well as her poetic lyrics in English and Spanish.

“Every part of it was a process that I hadn’t done before,” says NYC-based Michael Tapper of indie electro pop project Practice about the making of his debut album, Not A Game, out today (February 19, 2021). With Practice, Tapper has taken on the duties of songwriting, arranging, producing, recording, mixing, and videomaking himself (starting in 2013 after returning home from a 28-day sailing trip starting in Mexico and ending in Hawaii). Rural Tapes releases debut single ‘Pardon My French’
As a member of The No Ones, Kjelsrud Mathisen has played alongside R.E.M. members Scott McCaughey and Peter Buck for years. Now he’s going solo for the first time in his career, releasing music under the moniker Rural Tapes.
The first single is titled ‘Pardon My French’ with guest appearances from Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) and saxophonist Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey, Tom Waits). Nashville-based rock and soul singer-songwriter Maggie Rose has announced the release of her new album. Have A Seat arrives everywhere Friday, August 20 via Starstruck Records. Have A Seat is Rose’s third full-length and was produced by Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL.
