Country Artist Bobby Kendrick Releases Debut Single “Drinking Songs”
This up-tempo country bop pays homage to country hits of the past, including “Dixieland Delight” by Alabama and “Whiskey Lullaby” by Brad Paisley, all while making you want to leave those sad drinking songs in 2020 where they belong.
“Imagine going to a writers’ round, where every artist played sad country songs. Then imagine, the MC coming up to you and saying, “I’m giving you an extra song, but step it up, ’cause I’m tired of hearing these drinking songs!” So that’s what I did. I quit drinking songs.” explains Bobby.
The song was written by Bobby Kendrick, Ali Munoz, and Dallas Jack.
THE MONO LPS – New single: “Love Me” – Watch Video
Renowned for their “rock’n’roll… with a cello” innovations, the Liverpool band’s new single initially began life as an indie track, before it all went a bit Pete Tong… As Ste Reid of The Mono LPs says:
“Love Me” was a really old song of ours that we had in vaults. Back then it was more of an indie track which we didn’t know what to do with. We liked it a lot but it didn’t fit our first album so it stayed there for years. Then when we started making the new album I was noodling on guitar and came up with the riff that sounded like a pure EDM guitar riff. I realised that it would fit into “Love Me” so we married the two parts together.”
The Single “Bom Bom”, by X LoW, was released on 20/01/2021
“When I was making the beat for “Bom Bom”, my newest Release, I felt a strange feeling, like I already knew how the song was supposed to come out and how I wanted it to be in everyone’s ears. When I thought this I hadn’t created the Drums for this song yet, but I don’t know… Maybe I’m just evolving and understanding new things. So for the first time I’m really proud of my ability and I’m sure of what I’m doing. Hope You will listen to this song (more than just once😉) In the lyrics I’ve spoken about me, my crush, how much I’m certain about myself and about my bravery in everything I do in my life. Maybe in the lyrics you can’t find everything I said but I can show You that simply by listening to my song now.”
Battling ADD & Dyslexia, Cocoelusive overcomes & delivers with ‘LoveJam’
The challenges of social anxiety and struggling to stay focused is a tough climb to overcome. These hurdles caused Nance Brito, an aspiring UK artist that goes under the moniker Cocoelusive, difficulty to study for college exams, which lead to night-long laments due to her anxiety. “I had a lot of learning difficulties growing up. My parents were a little old school and were not aware this was even a thing,” the artist explains. Diagnosed with ADD and dyslexia at a much later age, Cocoelusive found healing with music, and with her reserved persona expresses a rendition of new school R&B with laid back grooves and magnetic melodies. ‘LoveJam’ is the start of Cocoelusive finding her truth.

Belle Tower – ‘small’ out now
“Small” is dedicated with gratitude to my incredible network of women, non-binary and femme creatives for their support and friendship. This song was inspired by a time in my life when I was navigating a connection that I knew was toxic, which ended up representing a larger relationship to patriarchy and misogyny in the music industry.

DONNA MISSAL SHARES LIVE VIDEO FOR “LET YOU LET ME DOWN”
“I reached out to Rodrigo on Instagram DM over the summer while quarantined, and asked if he would want to make something together despite my being in L.A. and him being in London,” explains Donna Missal. “The relationship through our devices became the context of the things we made together. Rodrigo directed this video over Facetime, and screen sharing in real time, while my band and I performed the song. I wanted to do something live in the absence of touring, but with the intention of reinterpreting what it meant to perform live, in a time where we can only experience it through a screen. Rodrigo really understood that.”

Big Trip Releases New Song “INTL (Sleep When You’re Dead)” + Visual
“The lyrics in the song speak to my mindset that I’ve acquired throughout my journey of becoming a strong, hard-working, independent man,” Big Trip explains to AllHipHop.com. “Once I heard the aggressive beat from Dirty Harry, I knew I had something gritty and authentic to say. The simplistic flow and cadence created space for me to really let people know how I’m feeling. I’m tired! My mind’s always going, and my phone’s always ringing. My body aches for rest but my mind is strong enough to realize: all that resting can happen when I’m dead! Crazy thing is, I actually had a close call when I was shooting the video for the song. I had a seizure while on set and almost died. Doctor said I wasn’t taking good enough care of myself or getting enough rest. But the only thing I’m focused on is getting my money and expanding my network internationally while being the flyest dude to do it.”
