Producer Teen Daze releases new single, announces EP

Breathing Tides is a new, three-track EP from British Columbian artist Teen Daze (Jamison Isaak). Following last year’s Reality Refresh series, which leaned more towards balearic and house sounds, Breathing Tides is a collection of wintery, cinematic ambient pieces. While Teen Daze has usually used these types of textures and sounds as the foundation for songs with more traditional pop structures, this EP takes a much more minimalist approach. Breathing Tides relaxes and aims to create a sense of calm for the listener. A collection of pieces that can reward a listener with a deep listening experience, or create a mood as background music.

The visualizer is an invigorating collage, combining highlights of new footage of Kee’vin and Heem captured in front of hydronic whip and images of Heem flossing an endless amount of cash.

That’s the mentality I take into the studio. You’re going to be alright. Do what you do. Whether I’m dealing with relationships, my personal life, or other struggles, it will work out.” Overall, his album lends itself to fans and listeners with one overall lesson, you’re going to be fine. The music video for “DJ” was directed by Young Replicant and completes the storyline laid out initially in the music video for Dew’s track “NTWFL” and furthered along with his most recent release of “GONE”. The video is the 3rd video in a trilogy created by Dew and Young Replicant that explores the themes Dew lays out his forthcoming debut album MOONLIT FOOLS – set for release on February 26th, 2021. The stunningly cinematic vignettes pose many questions we ask ourselves: What’s holding us back? What are we afraid of? Is love worth the loss? And how does the age of technology affect all of this? Games are played, cards are dealt, and more likely than not, you’re already too late and just looking at a pretty picture of what could be rather than what is or was. Dew will be performing “DJ” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 10th.

Pony Bradshaw Adds To The Southern Storybook On His New Album Calico Jim

“It was paramount that we practiced restraint, to not abandon tradition in the name of originality,” says singer and songwriter Pony Bradshaw of the recording process on his new album, Calico Jim. “‘Less glamour, more nutrients’ was something I reminded myself of every morning over coffee before heading to the studio.” That thought process aided in Bradshaw’s commitment to not overshadowing the stories he’d set out to tell; stories about the relationship between man and nature and about a region and community connecting with its history and its pasts which come to life through Bradshaw’s powerful, earnest voice. Part Southern gothic, part North Georgia storybook tales, Calico Jim appeals to fans of impeccable, character-based storytelling and minimally and thoughtfully produced Americana music.

Leon III shares new song “Rumors of Water” – new album out March 5

Today, Leon III share their uninhibited new song “Rumors of Water,” which premiered exclusively via Glide Magazine earlier this week. Glide Magazine goes into great detail on the track with a careful dissection of the layers that make up the song: “Traversing an expansive sonic landscape, the band skillfully layers twangy 70s rock guitars, psychedelic solos, and suspense-building drum fills to create a sound that feels rooted in the arena-filling rock of Pink Floyd as well as jammy spaceouts of My Morning Jacket. We also hear a touch of fellow Austinite Israel Nash’s desert folklore. All of this combines to make for a track that feels like a compelling musical journey with peaks and valleys that comes to an enlightening conclusion. In listening to the track, you get the sense that Leon III is more focused on a big and cohesive album-oriented rock sound than they are on cranking out Spotify one-hitters. You can tell that these guys are having fun in the studio, experimenting with different sounds and building their songs piece by piece.”
