Introducing: PRISM B!TCH – New Single “One Shot” Out Now!
“We’re extremely excited to release our song ‘One Shot’ and finally announce the release date for our debut full-length album, Perla,” shares Prism B!tch. “What once started out as an acoustic voice memo a couple years ago has morphed into a heavy cathartic ballad. As we finessed the song on the road, it quickly became a popular set closer with a wall of sound build-up and dramatic abrupt stop. This song is about the perspective of being a female musician and being taken seriously. There was a measure of uncertainty surrounding our band as we had just left our label and were reestablishing ourselves as an autonomous collective. With an exciting tour looming at the time, we wanted to come out swinging with a confident personal statement. The music video for ‘One Shot’ is an irreverent punk ode to our Southwest upbringing and love for cinema and theater. We were inspired by the visuals of Spaghetti Westerns and old-school music videos that feel like short films. The story follows a humble family trying to avenge the death of their father by striking out into a dark world. It’s the hero’s journey and a reimagining of the myth of the Old West as we’d like to see it.”

I wrote “Long Distance” on an unplugged, rented electric guitar during a blackout on a night off from an opera gig I was doing in Halifax in the summer of 2019, in tears after a frustrating phone call with my then-girlfriend. We were spending a four month stretch away from each other while I travelled for work. Neither of us were communicating well, and our daily check ins became monotonous. Both of us kept up the charade that we were good, while allowing fear and resentment to build up, which ended up costing us the relationship entirely

“Feeling confident and empowered is so important and something I feel really passionately about, which is why I partnered with SmileDirectClub to provide the below wellness tips to get everyone moving and smiling into the New Year. SmileDirectClub’s clear aligners have transformed many people’s lives to give them the confidence they needed to reach their fitness and wellness goals.”
Get some fresh air: With the COVID guidelines in effect, we’re all looking for new ways to stay healthy and energized, an alternative to an at-home workout is to get up and go outside! Fresh air gives you energy. I know it’s cold. That’s why we have coats and coats gloves. Pull on your coat, grab your gloves, and just start walking.
Start moving: The one piece of advice I give to anyone asking how they can start on the path to a healthier lifestyle, just start moving. People ask, “should I start with exercise or nutrition?” If you want the best answer, start with both. But one can also lead to the other. Say you have a junk food craving. If you get up and go for a walk, often that craving subsides. So without any extra effort, beyond just going for a walk, you’ve already made a more nutritious decisions for your body as you let go of that junk food dream. The more you move, the less you’re going to crave.
Kelsea Ballerini’s tip – Power of positivity: The most important tool in your fitness tool belt to get your health and wellness in check for the new year is a positive attitude! I love to laugh. I love to have fun. A good laugh burns calories and makes pretty abs. When you smile, it creates positive energy.
Smile: I always tell my clients to smile during their workouts. Smiling tricks your brain into releasing endorphins and can help you reach your fitness goals more efficiently and keep you empowered to stick to your routine. Smiling helps set you in a positive mind set to reach a goal and plays a critical role in keeping you moving when you want to give up.
Break the cycle of sitting: How often do you sit and say, now I have energy? Never. The more you sit, the more your body wants to sit. Don’t forget: Movement is a gift. Don’t look at it as a chore — take advantage of the gift. And never forget to stop smiling.

Award winning recording artist Kathryn Grimm (Jeff Buckley, Bo Diddley, Michael Bolton) has done it again – she’s written yet another hook-laden anthem with a strong message that may just be life changing for some. It should not come as a surprise that she continues to crank out excellent music – not many artists can say they have shared the stage with and written with Jeff Buckley. Kathryn has always followed the beat of her own drum and through this often lonely but brazen journey she’s produced a very worthy library of memorable work. “BEST OF ME” from her newest CD “BLUES TOOLS” lives up to it’s hype. It’s infectious Blues/Rock groove is insidious and it’s message is significant.
