With musical references rooted in Americana- and Indie Folk traditions Swedish folk and singer-songwriter H.B Nielsen take stand on his fellow swedes Daniel Norgren and The Tallest Man On Earth’s shoulders as he starts off the new year with the delivey of the last single, “Can’t Seem To Recall” from his upcoming EP “It’s Today Again”.

Musically, the track illuminates the idiosyncrasies of his inimitable style. Handclaps, airy guitar leads, and quivering cymbals comingle within an unpredictable soundscape as the vocals stretch into a fiery falsetto. On the hummable hook, he pleads, “If you’re having visions ‘bout the two of us, just don’t, you should move on.”

Dutch indie band Classic Water return today with their fourth single Tomorrow. A song about desperate times and corresponding desperate measures, but as the lyrics say: “tomorrow this will all be gone.” A soothing thought at the start of this new year.

Nephila – “White Bones”

Nephila has joined forces with The Sign Records and will release their debut self-titled album in June, 2021. Combining psychedelic rock and heavy blues with theatrical expressions, the 7-headed rock orchestra brings out the best of 70’s experimental rock while adding their own touch of mysticism and visual storytelling. On Friday, January 15, Nephila launch the first single from the album, “White Bones”.

Nephila is a musical spider, with its sprawling legs represented by 70’s space rock and masked band members. Flashing guitar solos and psychedelic melodies quickly brings to mind pioneers such as the American Jefferson Airplane and Sweden’s Abramis Brama. With members hailing from retro rock-band Children of the Sün, melodies and rhythm crawl like a red pulsing thread through the songs of this Swedish band.
