As an artist, I am a very hungry experimental-folk caterpillar who eats Fleet Foxes’ progressivism, Kate Bush’s iconoclasticism, Jeff Buckley’s zeal, and Leonard Cohen’s disenchantment. I’m a fierce advocate for mental health awareness which comes out in the deeply introspective theater of my music. Based in Brooklyn, NY, I’ve played NYC’s Bowery Ballroom, Pete’s Candy Store, Pianos, Niagara, and Under St. Mark’s Theatre. My debut album Haircuts for Barbers is available on all streaming platforms.
UK songstress RUTH BLAKE presents invigorating ‘Brave Ships’ single
Singer-songwriter and guitarist Ruth Blake presents her new single ‘Brave Ships’, inspired by the warm, rich tones and strong rhythmic grooves of the 1970s. The accompanying video was filmed by Paul Blakemore on Sand Bay.
The b-side for this release is titled ‘I Am’. A reflection of her soul, these compositions are deep and spacious. Richly bittersweet, this is overflowing with love, creativity and reverance. Both tracks were mastered by Shawn Joseph (Portishead, Jonny Greenwood, PJ Harvey, Bat for Lashes, Peter Green).
Originally from the Midlands, Blake now resides in the mists and vales of Somerset, where she creates multi-faceted folk music that stirs the soul, rich with symbol and storytelling. ‘Using ‘music as medicine’, this is poignant, lyrical, poetic and even sacred.

BILL CHAMPLIN (Formerly of Chicago) New Single “Reason To Believe”
Bill Champlin started his career very early on in Marin County, CA. In 1965, his band “Sons Of Champlin” released a single on Verve Records and got a little AM radio play. The band then recorded a double album in 1968, Loosen Up Naturally, that got more than local notice but little “Top 40” airplay. Over the next 10 years the Sons released a total of 8 records on 3 different labels, but still not a lot of “Top 40” play. The band, and Bill in particular, got a lot of notice from industry people and, for sure, other musicians across the country. After the Loving Is Why album Bill left the Sons and moved to LA and started working on 2 solo albums, as well as various studio background vocal dates. His two solo albums Single and Runaway were produced by David Foster, who has proven to be a major league player/writer/arranger/producer over the years. One of the songs written for Single was covered by Earth, Wind. and Fire. The single “After the Love has Gone” became a big hit for EWF and Bill replaced the song on the Single album with something else after EWF cut it.

After a long gestation process the homonymous album “Casagrande” was released on October 15th 2020, by French label Soman Records.”.

NYC’s Father Before Me Drops First Single, “Until Lambs Become Lions” ahead of Sophomore EP “Ruby.”
Father Before Me kicks off their sophomore EP, Ruby, with the anthemic “Until Lambs Become Lions” accompanied by a brand new music video. Immediately, the song opens with an in your face shred, followed by the skate punk drums and the catchy melodies characterized by Father Before Me’s earlier work.
The song and EP are both self-released by independent artist Father Before Me. Songs were mixed and mastered by genre veterans Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio (August Burns Red, Carousel Kings). The music video was shot by Tom Flynn.
Lillasyster, new album release in Jan 22nd!
With 4 albums released since the start in 2007, countless live shows and multiple nominations for Swedish Grammies Lillasyster are now about to release their fifth album Svensk Jävla Metal!
In 2018 the band released their EP with the same name and have since then released several singles leading up to the album. Among the singles released prior to the album are the bands two original songs in English, Enemy and My Back And Your Knife.
In December the band ended 2020 with the news that they will compete in the Swedish take outs for Eurovision 2021.
Stoke Trio Saving Face Drop Weighty New Single Eyes On Me
Most regions across the UK seem to specialise in a certain type of music. Manchester has the baggy swagger of its indie rock, Liverpool its homegrown scouse psych, while Glasgow seems to bridge the gap between indie-pop and post-rock. Stoke-on-Trent on the other hand, has always operated at the heavier end of the spectrum.
This is where Saving Face come in. A Stoke-based trio who have been turning heads since their inception, despite their relatively short time together, the band take their cues from the guttural riff-heavy rock of bands such as Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age.

Norwegian artist, producer and creative maverick Lokoy today releases new single “relay” (with Nils Bech) – the final taster of his upcoming full length debut album badminton – out January 22nd via Propeller Recordings.
A dazzling polyrhythmic pop cut incorporating African-inspired percussion and sampled Icelandic church choirs, “relay” was written and recorded alongside Mikhael Paskalev and Nils Bech – the latter internationally famed for his Norwegian language cover of O Holy Night for Norwegian cult TV hit, Skam.

“‘Lunatic’ is the second song I wrote on guitar and it was inspired by multiple trips out to Joshua Tree in the middle of the night,” says Good Bison brainchild Pablo Alvarez about the making of the song. “One time, I was walking around the desert at two in the morning and genuinely started to feel like I was lost. Nothing looked familiar, and I had wandered pretty far off the main trail which is super dangerous and not something anyone should do. I was lucky enough to eventually find my way back to the campsite, but that feeling is something I carried with me while working on this track. I’m still not sure if I’ve made it home yet, but at least I’m not lost in the desert.”
