KNOMAD SPOCK Releases Video For Debut Single ‘Papillon’
Cardiff-based songwriter Knomad Spock (aka Samatar “Sam” Elmi) has revealed a brand new cinematic video for his sumptuous debut single ‘Papillon’ which is out now.
Directed by Euan Baker, the slick video compiles a collection of slow-moving shots around London, as high-colour city scales and beautiful cinematography are juxtaposed against the organic and earthy folkiness of the track.
With the pandemic and quarantine lockdowns bringing most live music and touring to a screeching halt, Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins used the downtime to explore new music and create a new project. Rosie Carney releases rendition of The Bends & shares video for “High & Dry”
Today, Rosie Carney releases her ambitious quarantine project covering Radiohead’s album The Bends in its entirety. The album comes out on Color Study (Lav, Charlie Adams, Haux) and follows i dreamed i was the night EP (Feb 2020) and her debut album Bare (2019).
Carney also reveals the visual for “High & Dry”, the song she was most worried about doing justice. “It’s such an anthem”, she explains. “I wanted to try and maintain the power that the original holds whilst remaining true to myself in the process”.
