Bernice (Andy Shauf, Lido Pimienta collaborators) announce new LP/premiere “Groove Elation” on FADER
It’s been over two years since Bernice released their celebrated LP Puff: In the air without a shape, a major milestone for the Toronto band that arrived a full 7 years after their debut and received a rapturous response. The band, whose members are noted for their work (together and separately) with artists like Andy Shauf, Lido Pimienta, Martha Wainwright and Beverly Glenn Copeland, earned a Polaris Prize nomination for the album, which also saw major international attention, being described as an “analytical, self-dissecting monument to ephemerality” by The New York Times, and “a fascinating musical conversation” that blends pop and R&B influences with C86 aesthetics by Pitchfork, alongside high praise from outlets like NPR, FADER, VICE, and Stereogum, among many others Today, the band have returned to announce their third full-length, Eau de Bonjourno, which will be released out March 5th from Telephone Explosion and figureeight records, and share the album’s first single “Groove Elation.”
Kacy & Clayton and Marlon Williams are set to release their debut collaboration Plastic Bouquet next Friday, December 11th, 2020 via New West Records. The 11-song set was produced by Kacy Lee Anderson & Marlon Williams and was recorded in Saskatoon, SK and Nashville, TN. Plastic Bouquet has been met with wide critical acclaim. Uncut Magazine awarded the album 8 out of 10 stars in their lead review, calling it a “cross-hemisphere collaboration between two teams of very distinctive artists,” while Mojo stated in their 4 out of 5 Star review, “Both acts keep country tradition close to their hearts, and Anderson’s crystal-clear voice wraps itself around Williams’ Roy Orbison croon like a modern Gram and Emmylou. Linthicum’s guitar adds texture and twang, as the interplay between the trio delivers their Plastic Bouquet close to country perfection.” Shindig called the album “Perpetually gorgeous” while Rolling Stone Country stated, “Williams’ otherworldly croon leads the way, blending beautifully with Kacy Anderson’s voice in a winning combination of diverse talents.”

England-based post-metalcore quintet, Architects share the second single off their forthcoming ninth studio record For Those That Wish To Exist. “Black Lungs” follows the colossal single “Animals,” which to date has amassed 6M+ streams and 3.5M+ YouTube views.
Today, the band share the post-apocalyptic video for “Black Lungs,” directed by Jeb Hardwick. The track calls for us to examine the role we are currently playing in the destruction of the world with barren landscapes and foreshadowing of extinction.

The problem we face now seems to be that for each common fear there is a contrasting view that at least appears to have wide support, I guess my worry now is how such huge numbers of people can move forward without unity under immediate threat. The new music video isn’t the most serious in concept, for a song based around the end of the world in times so hard for not just myself but all those involved in making it, we had to seek some joy and humour… and we had to shoot outside in the cold.”

When Cellus Hamilton decided to launch his new marketing company with his wife in 2019, he didn’t know he was creating a future launching pad for artists. He started advertising his artist development package and quickly begin getting connected with artists from all over the country looking to take their careers to the next level. Two of the artists that he would begin working with were New York City’s BlessThePen & Trubl3. After a full year of intense writing sessions, artist development, and Bible study, the three emcees have formed a group. They call themselves “The Row Men”; named after their songwriting inspiration peaked while reading the biblical book of Romans.
