2020’s Best & Worst Cities for Singles – WalletHub Study

With approximately 45 percent of all U.S. adults being single and dating opportunities restricted during the COVID-19 pandemic, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2020’s Best & Worst Cities for Singles, as well as accompanying videos.

Some singles are closer to a happily ever after than they think, but it depends on where they live. To determine where singles have the highest chance of finding love, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 32 key indicators of dating-friendliness. The data set ranges from the share of the population that is single to the number of online dating opportunities to the average price for a two-person meal.

MF Tomlinson announces debut album Strange Time

Joan of Arc today released their new single/video “Feedback 3/4″ ahead of this Friday’s release of their final album, Tim Melina Theo Bobby (Joyful Noise Recordings). The kaleidoscopic, experimental track was written by Melina Ausikaitis. “‘Feedback 3/4′ is named for the sounds made by my fake guitar during the song’s most poignant moments,” she explains. “Last night I sat around the fire with my sister Simaya, who lives in Evanston, IL, just a few miles from the homes and schools where many classic John Hughes’ teenage comedies were filmed.

The Wood Brothers to Reissue ‘The Muse’ on 2-LP Vinyl

The Wood Brothers have announced a double-LP vinyl reissue of their modern classic, ‘The Muse,’ will be released on March 5, 2021 through the band’s own Honey Jar Records. Originally issued October 1, 2013 via Zac Brown’s Southern Ground label, the 11-track collection was produced by Nashville music legend Buddy Miller and contains many of The Wood Brothers most celebrated songs that remain staples of their live performances to this day, including “Wastin’ My Mind,” “Sing About It,” “Neon Tombstone,” “Keep Me Around” and “I Got Loaded.” An initial vinyl pressing of ‘The Muse’ sold out years ago and has been in high demand by The Wood Brothers’ fanbase ever since.
