GEARS is Here with Their Latest – “Bored”

Hard/Active Rock band Gears have released their cover of the Deftones single/video “Bored” along with The Label Group/INgrooves. From the opening riff, the drive of the guitar signifies a harder/active rock edge; as the vocals of Trip Six take hold the crux of the melody immediately fixes itself into a richer deeper tone of urgency. From there, drummer Jimmy Wooten and bassist Josh Routt round out this edgier rising surge – as “Bored” can be experienced in driving waves. Gears have taken an alternative metal sound from ‘95 and brought it to reflect an unconventional hard/active rock that resonates to the year 2020. “Bored” is Gears’ perfect song chosen to round out their music releases for this year. A track to seal those Deftones influences but brand it solidly to Gears.

Ohio-based rockers MOLLO RILLA have revealed a new video for the single “Night Fang” from the band’s sophomore album, Viva El Camino, due out December 4 via Seeing Red Records.

“The song is a fictitious story about a band of troublesome misfits hunting down a mischievous werewolf,” explains vocalist/guitarist Marco Ciofani. “Once tracked down, the group discovers the werewolf is not what they imagined at all, and a raucous party ensues! Although entirely mythical and fabricated, the story teaches the age old lesson, ‘never judge a book by its cover’ and respect, celebrate and appreciate others differences and accept those for who (or in this case ‘what’) they are.”

FOES: CVLT Nation Premieres “Turnaround King” Video

Writes FOES drummer Garrett Judkins, “This was the most fun we’ve had filming for a non-live performance music video. ‘Turnaround King’ was shot by Chandler Price of 12th St Media in our little hometown venue thanks to our friend and co-star Cody Kite. It was back in February (pre-COVID days) and still cold as fuck, but we managed to drag an entire living room set up and all our equipment out. It looked decent before we started smashing everything too. As for the track, ‘Turnaround King’ definitely has its forward-facing themes like media control, politics, and extremism. But for me it also is the story of many Americans being pulled this way or that way by different mediums using fear and disinformation to prevent them from making proper decisions.”
