Copenhagen-based artist LINN shares new single “Happy Metal”
Speaking about ‘Happy Metal’ LINN says it’s “a song about trying not to take things too seriously and being a little less pretentious.” She goes on to say, “in Danish we have a saying that goes something like “it’s not a matter of what happens to you, but how you cope with it” I wrote a verse and it seemed a little dark and depressing, so I wanted to twist it with a bit of humor. Rising Alt/Pop Stunner GREYA Releases Soaring New Single “THRIVE”
“The love interest is the quintessential egomaniac, just in it for the validation he’s getting from the girl. She just wants clarity – to feel like the effort she’s putting in is mutual, but like so many relationships, she’s getting used for how she makes him feel. It’s that merry-go-round of ‘I’ll do what I need to do to keep you around, but not enough to make this healthy.’”

“..a slow-burning ballad with trippy, undulating visuals inspired by LED artist Jim Campbell. It’s certainly just as much a pop song as it’s an experimental or ambient song… a gorgeously sweeping quality with Harrison’s falsetto vocals leading the way. Think of something along the lines of Bon Iver’s more recent work.” – mxdwn

Her own voice joins, then other voices, calling back on a loop, mimicking the patterns of a doomed relationship she’s finally learned to let go of—and you hear that exact moment, because the jaunty melody comes back for the final seconds, a bookend, maybe a kiss-off.
