King Khan shares colorful video from new jazz album
Made as a tribute to Katherine Dunham, “matriarch and queen mother of black dance”, the video features Brontez Purnell, who learned at her school of dance, whose alumni also included Eartha Kitt… The song feature’s Marshall Allen & Knoel Scott of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Ben Ra from the Shrines, Davide Zolli from the mojomatics, as well as John Convertino, from Calexico on drums. Celebrate the music of the spheres and enjoy the flight!
BLEED THE SKY Release New Single “The Devil Will See You Now (TDWSYN)”
“The Devil Will See You Now” has been through the ringer. This song was written, scrapped, re-written, scrapped again, put on the shelf for months, then finally revisited, reconstructed, re-recorded and now ready for release! We poured our highest levels of aggressive songwriting into this one, and loved every second of it. Lyrically, this song is a very deliberate stand against anyone who has ever harmed an innocent. There is a special place in hell for anyone who preys on the young, and it especially strikes a nerve with us when predators are people of [faith]” says the band.
In Parallel (Ex-members of Celebrity & Hopesfall) Debut “Threat Of Heaven” Music Video
In Parallel’s latest EP “Fashioner” is out now via Wiretap Records. Mixed by Ken Andrews of Failure, Year Of The Rabbit
The seeds of In Parallel were planted late at night almost 5+ years ago in the back room of a picture frame shop. With nothing more than a looped electronic drum sample and a few guitars, the first notes became the framework of the song “Bridge and Tunnel.” This particular song and its lyric “walk through waves and wade where others won’t – choose your words, say what others don’t” became a mission statement of sorts – a musical rebirth for its four members.

Gothic Singer ELLE NOIR Unveils Her New Video: “Like A Black Doll.”
Following the heels of her recent video, “The Day I Died,” Italian gothic singer ELLE NOIR unveils her latest video – the title track from her upcoming EP, Like A Black Doll.
“Like a Black Doll” is a nightmare with different levels of meaning.
At first sight it’s the image of a girl who can’t react to life, who closes herself in her dark inner world and surrounds herself with things that can’t hurt her.
But deep down, the song tells about a traumatic situation of my childhood, which I do not talk about but have been able to elaborate on over the years thanks to music. It is one of the reasons that pushed me to sing, to use my voice and my songs to exorcise my demons.”

Featuring co-production and keyboard contributions from fellow Austin native Alejandro Rose-Garcia (Shakey Graves), the uptempo track was mixed by Grammy® winner Andy Zulla (Kelly Clarkson). But the accompanying video to “Drop Another Pin” required a heap of DIY from Grace as she made it at home during lockdown. Conceived and directed by Grace, husband Cris Lopez (New Wildebeest) filmed it in 4K on a cellphone. Grace then edited, color-corrected and added overlays of stock footage. The result is both fresh and retro, with the imagery of an old time projector bringing out a classic VCR- looking time stamp.

PALOMA MAMI RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FOR YA”
“When I describe ‘For Ya’ to anyone, I simply say, ‘It’s such a vibe.’ I think my past songs have been a bit more up-tempo and, although I feel every song I release is different from the ones before, ‘For Ya’ is different also because it’s about how someone makes you feel when you’re in love and you’ll do anything for them. I wanted the video to also express that same vibe and feel like you were in a trance while listening and watching without doing too much…just minimalistic and cinematically pleasing,” says Paloma Mami.

No matter how many times you tell yourself not to go there, when that knock on your door comes, you can’t help yourself. It’s anthem for anyone familiar with those late night ‘u up’ texts. It’s such an important song to me and I’m beyond excited to share it with the world.”
