Less of a Christmas album and more of a cross cultural seasonal celebration, the themes of Seasonal Shift are based around that familiar end of year feeling of reflection, of ceremony and of recognition of the year gone by and changes it brought for better and for worse.

Sub Pop has signed the UK band TV Priest and will release Uppers, their full-length debut on CD/LP/CS/DSPs worldwide February 5th, 2021. In celebration of this news, we’re sharing the official video for “Decoration,” the album’s lead single, directed by Joe Wheatley.
The FADER says of the “Decoration” video, “Gnarly British post-punk band TV Priest blow a breeze through life’s trinkets and accoutrements on “Decoration,” the beating heart of their forthcoming Sub Pop debut Uppers. Guards are back with new music: Guards singer Richie Follin took a break to release an album with Nick Valensi from the Strokes on Columbia Records under the name CRX. While Guards drummer, Loren Humphrey took production reigns on the new Arctic Monkeys album, played on the new Lana Del Rey album, and toured as the drummer with Florence+The Machine and Tame Impala. They recorded this single while in quarantine at a studio in downtown Los Angeles. Lyrically, the song deals with being disillusioned with the world we live in, but finding a silver lining in the fact you can have a friend to go through it all with.

San Diego’s Ricky (Western Settings, Hey Chels) Announces Debut Solo Album ‘Palm Trees, Out November 13
San Diego, CA musician RICKY (aka Ricky Schmidt) writer/singer/bassist of Western Settings and writer/bassist in Hey, Chels, has announced a November 13 release date for his debut solo album ‘Palm Trees.’
The 11-track album was produced by Tyson “Chicken” Annicharico of Dead To Me, engineered by Brandon Mericle, mixed by Scott Goodrich, and features drums by Shane Hendry and vocals/co-writing by Ricky’s partner and Hey, Chels bandmate Jax.

Charlie Kaplan Shares “The Light of the Day”
New York based musician and singer-songwriter Charlie Kaplan (Office Culture) has released “The Light of the Day” – the third and final single to be shared ahead of the release of his debut album Sunday, out November 13.
Written in the wake of Kaplan’s father’s death, “Each song [on Sunday] was an exercise in conjuring light, warmth, insight, guidance, release – my life’s absent emotional palette,” he explains. “I used music as a way to induce feelings that no longer occurred naturally.”

Introducing Metal Band Letter of Marque; Watch Official Music Video for “White Lie”
The band has released their official music video for song “White Lie.”
“Making this video truly helped us emphasize what we want the people to understand. One bad decision can last for generations” says the band.
Letter of Marque was founded over the summer of 2016 by Matt Gund (Vocals), Vinny Antonelli (Rhythm Guitar), and Jeff Pritchard (Cello/Lead Guitar). The band was originally called “Out In The Open” due to the bands very “out there” style of metal. After cycling through a few other names, the band decided “Letter of Marque” was the best fit. This decision was solidified when vocalist Matt Gund got “Letter of Marque” tattooed on his ring finger in April 2018, essentially becoming married to the band.

Following last week’s release of their quarantine-made EP ‘Remote,’ Wallows have released the official music video for EP single “Wish Me Luck” today, directed by Dillon Dowdell. The animated video sees Wallows on an epic space journey, completing the ‘Curly Fry Trilogy’ storyline that began with their “OK” official music video and was followed by their “Nobody Gets Me (Like You)” video.
