Artist: Zadar – Track: Alien Being

Alien Being was the first track I wrote and recorded for my upcoming album, The Upstairs Room. It was recorded in one take in an inspired moment. The song’s lyrics convey feelings of isolation, rejection, and loneliness, feelings most of us experience from time to time. It sets the mood for the album as a whole, which was inspired by classic Post-Punk and Gothic Rock albums I grew up listening to. This project came about from a need to express myself as a response to a difficult time in my life. I hope you enjoy and get something out of it.

A song ultimately about heartache and loss, Rooke’s impassioned vocal is complimented by the majestic guitar work of Regent axeman in residence: Chris Woolf. Wrought from raw emotion and with tenderness ringing through every note, ‘Today’ brings to mind the soul-baring touchstones of Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell or Richard Ashcroft.

Atlanta, GA’s The Carolyn Creates the Perfect Blend- Releasing “Heavy Eyes” Official Video

Coffee has been a lifeline for the perpetually sleep-deprived Atlanta indie-punk trio, The Carolyn, for as long as they can remember. Balancing blue-collar day jobs with the rigorous schedule involved in moving forward in a COVID world left the band hungry for more than the status quo. This led the group to remain focused on their passion: indie-punk music and a custom coffee brew.

“Heavy Eyes” is the second single on our debut LP ‘This Will Begin to Make Things Right,’ a song mainly about sleep deprivation. “Oli and I rely on caffeine to get through our daily routine; therefore, it made sense to name this endeavor after a song which speaks to that,” said lead vocalist, Andrew Patrick.

WA Wa Punx skate punk anthem ‘Danny Sucks At Video Games’

‘Danny Sucks at Video Games’ is a song for our times. We’re all Danny. We’re all locked in futile combat with our screen avatar, failing again and again to get into the ‘Hall of Fame’. It’s garage, it’s punk, it’s electro, it’s 8bit graphics and it’s the best song of this hideous year.

This is a crazy world and we all need a gut-busting adrenaline rush to induce some socially distanced moshing in order to shake out what remains of our frazzled brains.
