London/LA popstar LAUREL shares new single “Best I Ever Had”

DEAD BY WEDNESDAY New Song “S.O.S.” Featuring New Vocalist Out Now + Watch The Official Video

“We are legitimately pissed. Frustrations are high for musicians, as well as most people around the world, and we use our music as an outlet. That’s why it really sounds angry – because we are! We’ve also come to realize who we are as a band during this unwanted time off, so we went deep and heavy! It’s fast, lean and mean – perfect for the times” says the band’s drummer, OPUS.

He continues, “‘S.O.S.’ also shows brotherhood among different races. It has a strong message. I believe this tune will not only attract a whole new audience, but I also feel like this will please some of the old school DEAD BY WEDNESDAY fans as well.”

GARMARNA Unveils New Song, “Dagen Flyr,” via Folk N Rock

GARMARNA comments, “This song goes way back. We’ve played it live for nearly twenty years or so, and to finally release it feels less like a reveal and more as if we are putting something right. Being a choral from the Swedish speaking parts of Estonia, the lyrics concern old age, a goodbye to life and a welcome of sorts to the inevitable death. Obviously, we didn’t really treat it as something as sombre. Rather, Stefan came up with a very catchy violin-tune and once we paired the vocal part with the instrumental, everything else pretty much played out by itself. Arranging a Garmarna tune can often be a painful and stretched out process but not in this instance. Bass riff, drums, some acoustic guitars – done and dusted!”

Yachtclub101 Shares the Anthemic “This Too Will Pass”

After four years of owning a bar in Oakland, CA and turning it into a profitable business, Covid brought it all to a grinding halt. The RIC was home to big drag shows, jazz groups, live band karaoke and a huge Skee-Ball league (SO FUN!). All has now been shut down for good. Scott moved from Bennington, VT to Oakland, CA in 1996 where he started several different bands to various degrees of success, the biggest of which was The Lovemakers who released a record on Interscope in 2005. The Lovemakers had a big regional hit, “Prepare for the Fight.” But after a big upswing came a big downswing and the band, although still having a solid fan base, released only one full length and a handful of singles in the last ten years. During that ten year period Scott played on several different projects. He played drums for a Gun Club tribute with Debbie Harry and Nick Cave, co-wrote a song with Chris Stein of Blondie, did a mashup with 50-Cent and played on countless Bay Area records.
