Field Medic Announces New Album with New Single, and Beach Bunny Tour Support

Throughout 2020 Kevin Patrick Sullivan, the Bay Area singer/songwriter known as Field Medic, has been sharing an enticing series of one-off singles, releasing episodes of his web series the field medic show, and inviting listeners into his creative world with hints at the mysterious Floral Prince. Today Sullivan has revealed Floral Prince: a collection of these previously released singles and seven other unheard songs that reflects his unique songwriting approach. Due out October 2nd from Run For Cover Records, the music on Floral Prince often finds Sullivan harkening back to the spontaneity of Field Medic’s earlier work and embracing a looser, off-the-cuff process that compliments his endless well of songs and poetry. To mark the announcement, Sullivan has shared one more early taste of Floral Prince with “i will not mourn who i was that has gone away,” a spirited acoustic singalong capturing everything that makes Sullivan’s songwriting so captivating with just a few chords, his warm voice, and conversational lyrics.

Atmosphere Announces New Album & Drops “Blotter Acid Reflux Syndrome” Single and Music Video

Today, iconic hip-hop duo Atmosphere drops a mind-bending music video, “Blotter Acid Reflux Syndrome,” heralding the release of their latest studio album The Day Before Halloween, due out, appropriately, on October 30. Directed by Jason Goldwatch, the music video veers towards the unsettling with psychedelics, brain surgery, and a nod to the infamous Cold War-era MK-Ultra program. From the outset, “Blotter Acid Reflux Syndrome” makes it clear that this chapter of Atmosphere’s discography will be a departure from the expected—the anti-pop answer to previous compositions.

Estonia’s Holy Motors (Wharf Cat) share “Trouble” from forthcoming Horse LP

Holy Motors, the enigmatic quartet of ex-Soviet cowboys, are back with their third single, “Trouble”, ahead of their new album, Horse. It’s the follow up to the group’s stunning 2018 debut, Slow Sundown, and will arrive on October 16th via Wharf Cat Records (Bambara, Dougie Poole, Public Practice). There’s also a music video created from recut live footage, the majority of which came from their Nox Orae festival appearance with Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre in 2019.

Art-Rock Legends Pylon Share Unreleased “Modern Day Fashion Woman (Version 2)” Today

Seminal art-rock legends Pylon will release Pylon Box on November 6, 2020, via New West Records. The comprehensive 4xLP box set includes their studio albums Gyrate (1980) and Chomp (1983), which have been remastered from their original tapes and will be available on vinyl for the first time in nearly 35 years. Pylon Box includes 47 total tracks, 18 of which are previously unreleased recordings. In addition to the remastered studio albums, the collection also includes Pylon’s first ever recording, Razz Tape.
