Produced by hitmakers Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, Pharaoh Vice and E-Trou, “Lemonade” is a laid-back summer jam, that sees the emcees delivering creative flexes with breezy melodies atop gently plucked guitars, played by Alec Wigdahl. The song is currently #22 on the Hot 100 chart.

If Rick Shea’s new record Love & Desperation had a motto, it would likely be, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” The Southern California Americana artist’s 12th album — due from Anaheim, Calif.-based Tres Pescadores Records on October 23, 2020 as a physical and digital release respectively — is the product of unique recordings sessions that were the product of the unique challenges facing musicians in the year 2020.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Shea is of course no stranger to the studio. In addition to the work he has produced under his own name, he has compiled a formidable résumé that dates back to the ’80s. His instrumental and vocal talents have been employed in the late Chris Gaffney’s Cold Hard Facts and Dave Alvin’s Guilty Men, and he has worked with singer-songwriter Katy Moffatt and rockabilly legend Wanda Jackson.

Rising Northern Irish singer-songwriter, Brooke will release her debut single ‘Attention’ on September 30th, 2020 via Universal Records. An official music video to be released the same day was shot by the artist in one of Northern Ireland’s iconic Game of Thrones locations across the North Coast. The track was recorded remotely during lockdown whilst on hiatus from The Voice and produced by Karl Zine (RINNGS, JVCK JAMES, Emily Burns).

American music icon Mac Davis passed away in Nashville on September 29th at age 78, following heart surgery. The announcement was made today by Davis’ long-time manager and friend Jim Morey, who said Davis was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.
“Mac Davis has been my client for over 40 years, and more importantly, my best friend,” Morey said. “He was a music legend, but his most important work was that as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. I will miss laughing about our many adventures on the road and his insightful sense of humor.”

Northern CA Americana duo 3 Pairs Of Boots announces January 2021 release Long Rider
The band’s debut album Gone South was released in July of 2019, with singles premiering on Americana UK, Guitar Girl Magazine, B-Sides & Badlands, and The Bluegrass Situation. At the time, Stern ran a successful tax accounting business, working with top professionals in the arts, while Arias raised their son at home. 3 Pairs of Boots played shows on weekends, finding time to write and record in between trips and daily tasks. But when Stern sold his business at the end of 2019, the band became the central focus. They now write and record full-time in their two-room home studio. “It feels like we’re settling into who we are now, writing whatever feels right,” says Stern. “We’re self-sufficient. Having the studio at home allows us unlimited time to create and perfect the tracks.” In addition to writing music full-time, 3 Pairs of Boots is developing a YouTube series called Cook’N’ & Country, which will combine recipe demonstrations with live country music performances.

Late 2019, the band started the recording process of the first EP “Before It Awakes” as well as starting to perform live in Skövde as well as other nearby towns. Then Covid -19 hit, which put a temporary stop to the band’s live performances. During this time the focus instead shifted towards completing the EP, which was independently released digitally mid-September, 2020-09-18.
