Hear Kellin Quinn on Loveless’ new single “Someone Else”

LA-based post-hardcore duo Loveless has returned with a new single called “Someone Else” featuring Sleeping With Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn. The track is a classic “I can’t sleep without you” story, but turned on its head.

“I initially wrote it about my high school crush,” says vocalist Julian Comeau. “It kinda evolved into a song about any night where you’re stuck, staring at the ceiling going ‘why cant I think of anything else, can I please stop seeing that person’s face? Can I stop thinking about that time I said that stupid thing or made a fool of myself?’.”

It’s the jazz singer-songwriter’s second album, an intimate six-song acoustic set that she produced with GRAMMY winning jazz pianist Edsel Gomez (Dee Dee Bridgewater) serving as musical director. Nashville Psychedelic Rock Band DE3RA Announce Inspiring New Single, “Old Scratch” via V13.net

DE3RA states that “Old Scratch” is, “about beseeching the void. It explores reaching out into the darkness and seeking inspiration and power. The inspiration comes from the feeling of desperation that we’ve all felt. The idea that we would do almost anything just to make things better. The intro to the song is a thick synth part reminiscent of an 80’s Sci-Fi movie soundscape. This is the heaviest song on the new album and probably the heaviest song the band has ever created”.

Petticoat Premieres “Closets” via Too Much Love Magazine

Singer/songwriter/producer David Halsey, better known as Petticoat, is making pop music from the future. His densely textured tracks are full of modern synthesis, yet carry influence from 80’s new wave, 00’s R&B, and modern pop/club music — together becoming something we can describe as Art-Pop or Escape Room. The glossy, ethereal, and at times abrasive nature of Petticoat’s music will help you know what a Madonna, Depeche Mode, and Charli XCX cocktail will taste like now…and 20 years later.

We’re all spending more time alone these days, so for anyone who’s having a hard time with that, maybe they’ll hear it and think things aren’t so bad.

The songwriting process started with the main keyboard riff accompanied by the bass line which gave the song its groove and feel. After finalizing it, we think it gives off the perfect blend of modern alternative pop and rock music. Lyrically, “100x” is about trying to convince your close friend that no matter how much your opinion on something might be hurtful, you are telling them because you want what’s best for them.”
