After a celebratory start to the year with the birth of her first child, “Woman” is a song that focuses on the theme of female empowerment, strength, and unapologetically loving yourself, the track states: “if God is a woman on Sunday ima worship us,” and effortlessly follows with “take my mirror out the bag and fill it with confidence”. Produced by Loxe (aka Rowan Perkins), who co-produced four tracks on Saturn, “Woman” was mixed by Manon Grandjean – the female engineer behind Dave’s Mercury winning album Psychodrama and Stormzy’s Heavy is the Head.
Mechanical kraut, layered alt-rock record from The Holy via Playground Music
Nominated for a Grammy, Finland’s The Holy will release their second album ‘Mono Freedom’ via Playground Music this Spring. It’s an mechanical kraut, layered alt-rock record with elements of electronic and prog.
New single The Rocket Song ‘The Rocket Song’ tells the story of human arrogance which results in their extinction. Frontman Eetu Iivari says: “The last people living on earth decide to build a space rocket and try to go through black holes to new galaxies. But they fail, like we humans tend to do. We often think we’re unbeatable.”
“Rudimental” by Mei: New Music Video OUT NOW!
Since its release, “Rudimental” has been praised by Before The Data, Highlark Mag, and Fashionably Early as “another extension of his brilliant… sound he’s been developing since 2018,” and Ones To Watch shared an interview with Mei on the single. “Rudimental” was also featured on two Apple Music Indie playlists: Indie Pop and New in: Indie.
KRAFTWERK’s Wolfgang Flür collaborates with U96 on “Transhuman”
There are few genres in which German artists play such a central pioneering role as they do in electronic music, be it techno, electropop, trance or rave. At the frontline for many years were Kraftwerk and U96, two absolute trailblazers of this musical direction. While Kraftwerk wrote international music history mainly in the 1970s with cult albums such as Autobahn (1974), Radio-Aktivität (1975), Trans Europa Express (1977) and Die MenschMaschine (1978), U96 had a profound influence on the global pop music, rave and techno scene of the 1990s with hits such as “Das Boot”, “Love Sees No Colour”, “Night In Motion” and “Heaven”. Transhuman, scheduled for release on Radikal Records/UNLTD Recordings on September 4, 2020, will feature a spectacular collaboration between U96 (Ingo Hauss and Hayo Lewerentz) and Wolfgang Flür, Kraftwerk’s drummer in the years between 1972 and 1987 and therefore involved in the most seminal albums by the group from Düsseldorf.
Odario Drops Sizzling New Single “Hot Hot Heat”
Odario is a storyteller, a hip-hop junkie and a lover of many musical soundscapes. He is embedded in the beat and submerged in the bass. His solo project expresses all of these qualities; tackling the many sides of “beat poetry.”
On his latest single, “Hot Hot Heat,” Odario ventures into the infectious world of classic dance music with the help of vocalist Kamilah Apong (of disco soundcrew Tush) and producer/composer Todor Kobakov. “Hot Hot Heat” blends house music, hip-hop, beat poetry and jazz into one massive ball of fire & uptempo groove.

On Friday, Brooklyn-based, indie pop outfit Tallbird shared “Growing Up,” the second single from their upcoming, debut album, Lost Pet Poster Template, due out September 25th. In true Tallbird fashion, “Growing Up” is a colorful track, bursting with life and energy. Written about adjusting to the end of a friendship, the chorus is a wild, fast collage of manipulated vocal samples assembled into the phrase “growing up without you.”

Singer Songwriter MICHAEL COLTON’ Shares Poignant New Single “Leave the Light On”
