White Dog Signs to Rise Above Records

“From the beginning we were beating the streets of Austin. This city is fuckin’ wild. There’s always something going on and the party never ends so that good time rock ‘n’ roll thing definitely rubbed off on us as little pups…”

In a world full of fakes and clowns, nothing quite hits the spot like a band that walks it, talks it and rocks it for real. Born amid the musical and cultural whirlwind of Austin, Texas, White Dog already sound like the perfect antidote to plastic sonic bullshit and sanitized radio fodder. In fact, as guitarist Carl Amoss explains, White Dog are the bastard sons of their city’s entire underground scene /and/ the spirit of rock ’n’ roll itself. Alongside drummer brother John, bassist Rex Pape, co-guitarist Clemente De Hoyos and singer Joe Sterling, these old school troublemakers are on a clearly defined mission.

Boy Pablo shares new single “honey”

While his career took off in 2017 with the viral, outsider-pop anthem “Everytime”, Boy Pablo’s Nicolas Muńoz has since found himself more connected to his art than ever. While Boy Pablo initially started out as a project just for fun, Muńoz, now 21, has since honed a cohesive, creative vision, becoming a fully-fledged force to be reckoned with in the indie-pop space. The second single from his forthcoming debut LP ‘Wachito Rico’, is a testament to his development as both a songwriter and a studio recording artist. It’s a lush production with an earworm chorus over a dreamy and effortless groove that chronicles the ups and downs of a romance that is rooted in a deep love.

BLACK MAGNET: Hallucination Scene Debut LP By Industrial Metal Outfit

While birthed in the late 1980s, it was in the 1990s that the “industrial metal” genre came to full fruition with the likes of Godflesh, Ministry, Pitch Shifter, Fear Factory, Front Line Assembly, and even Nine Inch Nails carving out (or in some cases sampling) metal inspired riffing over a backbone of electronic malevolence and brutal machine driven percussion. In that tradition, BLACK MAGNET offers the haunted pummeling synthesis that is their debut album, Hallucination Scene.

THEYRGY: Chicago Post-Punk Outfit Formed By Members Of Yakuza, I Klatus, And Others To Release Exit Strategies EP Via Dead Sage

THEYRGY was formed in February 2018 by John Doyle (I Decline,13 Flowers), John E. Bomher (Yakuza, Iklatus), Michael Fabiano, and Tony Hooper. Drawing inspiration from post-punk, industrial, and shoegaze artists, the band’s music aims to radiate light from within the dark spaces resonating inside and outside the listener. The map is not the territory. We’re done with living in the false structures that steal us from ourselves and our community, and funnels us into a bloated, mediocre, and unrealized life. By embracing and channeling the underlying chaos that is denied existence in the world, we find the nourishment we need to grow and live meaningful human lives. Our music is our contribution to the re-enchantment of the world.

Drug Couple Share Lead Single “2027,”

Today, creative duo and real life couple Drug Couple share the first single “2027” off of their upcoming EP, Choose Your Own Apocalypse, due out August 14th via PaperCup Music. Starting off with a bright, alt-folk sound, the song “suddenly grinds into higher gear near its end with a blast of jagged guitar distortion swirling like a dream-rock tempest around the pair’s coolly musing vocals,” praises The Big Takeover, who premiered the track. “2027” follows the story of a couple of ghosts hanging out in NYC seven years after the 2020 Apocalypse — oddly prescient, both the song and EP were written long before this year and all of its events occurred.
