Los Angeles Alt Rockers WEATHERS Deliver Rousing New Single “C’est La Vie”

Southern California based Weathers is lead singer Cameron Boyer, guitarist Cameron Olsen, bassist Brennen Bates, and drummer Cole Carson. Having gone through some challenging events in his past, Boyer wanted to process the band’s struggles through songwriting. He felt compelled to make feel-good songs that created a world similar to that of a John Hughes movie. The Breakfast Club, for example, shows that how people act and look on the outside is not always how they feel on the inside. Everyone is going through something no matter how ‘together’ they might look. The band’s story is all about growing up and coming into their own and includes themes of social anxiety, mental health, and the struggles that come along with it. What has emerged is “this messy, glitchy sound that makes you want to cry, while jumping up and down at the same time.”

Austin-Based Alt- Rockers The Dragon Berries Address Toxic Relationships in New Single Out via Good Night Magazine

The band states, “Get on My Side” is a song that portrays experiences from an unhealthy relationship. Oftentimes, we find ourselves in a situation where the toxicity of a relationship is what keeps us coming back for more. The tone of the song as a whole was intended to capture that dark, yet satisfying feeling of dysfunctional romance. It presents that the best way to overcome a troubled relationship is to leave it. In this case, leaving in a civil manner and coming to terms with what isn’t meant to be.”

Acclaimed Indie-Americana, Folk-Rock Artist, Luke Dowler, Announces Visually Stunning Video viaV13.net

Dowler commented, “I wrote this while I was working with longtime Bruce Springsteen engineer and producer, Toby Scott. I sent him a bunch of demos and ideas and we got together after he had listened through them, and he basically told me that I needed to go back to the drawing board. He picked through the ideas and let me know what wasn’t working with each one. I can’t lie, it was a tough two hours, but he was basically right. I went home and started writing ‘Going To Montana’ and tracked a demo by the end of the week. From there I sent it over to Levi Stugelmeyer (Caitlyn Smith, The Cactus Blossoms) in Minneapolis and we worked on it remotely before it was mastered by Grammy winner, Huntley Miller.”

Iris Lune Share ‘lovelosslove’ Debut LP Out Now On All DSPs

The 12 songs on lovelosslove explore the ways of experiencing loss and love, two feelings that are so tightly intertwined that they sometimes feel seamless, like a continuous thread. Loss is another color of love, which is why it hurts so much. After losing her mother two years ago to a six year cancer battle, Ella Joy Meir (Iris Lune) has been piecing her life together, trying to make sense of it all and trying to navigate a world without her mom’s physical presence. Her loss split Meir’s heart in half, leaving a distinct line between everything before and after that day. These songs are her own journey as she unfolds this new reality and dives deep into the core of things, to the most vulnerable of places of herself, places she cannot hide from. I did all my own styling, hair and makeup and it was very exciting & freeing to have the ability to control all aspects of the video.”

Fresh off the release of their most recent single, “Parachute,” the indie folk duo is dropping their newest track, “A Thousand Years.” Of the track Glide Magazine says, “Showcasing the duo’s harmony-driven vocals, piercing, heartfelt lyrics, and their delicately complex guitar playing, the song is a beautifully restrained meditation on stillness and clarity. Of course, in a world swirling with sickness, injustice and a general sense of chaos, these themes resonate with all of us looking for an escape from the madness. Luckily, we still have music and a song like “A Thousand Years” – with its lush folk-pop soundtrack – remind us to savor the moment.”
