Blackberry Smoke’s “Live From Capricorn Sound Studios” EP out today

Recorded earlier this year at Capricorn Sound Studios in Macon, GA, the project consists of six new versions of songs that have special ties to the historic studio and town and was created as a lead up to the band’s anticipated “Spirit of the South Tour: A Celebration of Southern Rock and Roll Music.” Songs featured on the project include The Marshall Tucker Band’s “Take The Highway” with special guest Marcus Henderson on the flute, The Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider” and “Revival,” Little Richard’s “Southern Child” and Wet Willie’s “Keep On Smiling” and “Grits Ain’t Groceries,” both featuring special guest vocals from Jimmy Hall—a member of Wet Willie during Capricorn’s peak years, who returned to the studio to record these tracks. The EP also features background vocals from The Black Bettys

New York duo Lewis Del Mar unveils new track “Rosalie (CH. II),”

“After several weeks of protesting, turning back to our daily routines and promoting an album feels meaningless and fundamentally at odds with where our country is as a collective,” Lewis Del Mar says. “However, this time has also led us to acknowledge the myriad ways these issues, and specifically the broader theme of human connection, factor deeply into our music. Originally recorded at Paisley Park for Prince’s 21st LP, ‘The Truth,’ the song is featured on ‘Soul Food – Cooking with Maceo,’ Parker’s first studio album in eight years, out next Friday, June 26th.
