Chris Garneau Shares “Now On” Via Cool Hunting | Look Out For New Music In 2020

Spare but resonant piano with roots in Americana and gospel mannerisms, the song is a reflection on what transpired in a broken relationship, and a missive to that former lover. But Garneau’s gentle yet purposeful incantation asks us to go deeper with him. He is plaintive as he digs through the shame to uncover something like gold underneath. His voice asks us to bear witness to the heartache, and ultimately releases us into the spacious composition. Garneau finds a freedom not just from being bonded to a magnetic darkness, but the freedom to be a part of something bigger and the relief of finding that space.

FAITH & SCARS Releases Creative, DIY Official Music Video for “Never the Same”

“We had a blast making this video! We’ve built all of our own productions so far, but this one was the most time consuming. This set had to be made from scratch. We knew we wanted “floating” mirrors, and a black backdrop, but we had no idea how to achieve it. We settled in one night and made a small scale replica of what we wanted in a shoebox with WWE Action Figures holding the place of ourselves. We used string, hot glue, paint, cardboard, and aluminum foil for the diorama. It was a throwback to art class, but it definitely served its purpose!”

TIM WHEATLEY DROPS NEW SONG ‘LYING LOW’

Lying Low tells a tale of darkness with that raw, raspy voice Wheatley is best known for, and his intensely introspective songwriting shines. “It was the first song I wrote after moving from Los Angeles to London. The adjustment from sunny California to the cobblestone streets of East London was near impossible for me. I wrote this song feeling more isolated than ever, in a new city, away from family and friends, and without the ability to perform live,” explains Wheatley. “I stopped talking about how hard I was finding it, because I was drowning in other people’s well-intended but cookie cutter advice. I was going stir crazy in my own company all day and night. It was a true test for my mental health, I was suffering and switching up a few different sides of my personality trying to find the one that could best get me through each situation. It was exhausting ‘getting out there’ and making new friends, for some reason during this period I felt I needed to keep to myself to get to the other side.”
