Under The Reefs Orchestra’s, the Brussels based jazz trio, release their s/t debut album today on Capitane Records!
Some band names capture the sound they emit almost perfectly and Under the Reefs Orchestra is one such band. “The underlying poetic idea is that by drowning, being at the bottom, losing everything, we discover a new and hidden world,” says Clement Nourry. “Like walking at the bottom of the ocean.”
The Belgian trio is a band that ostensibly evolved out of the guitarist’s solo work, with him being joined by Louis Evrard on drums and Marti Melia on sax and bass to expand the sound. “My compositions became our compositions,” Nourry says.

Cleveland, OH-based masked metal icons MUSHROOMHEAD are set to release their new studio album, titled ‘A Wonderful Life’, two weeks from today (June 19) on Napalm Records. Today, the band dropped the music video for their evocative new single “The Heresy”, which can be found via the link seen below. Hair-raising, dynamic, and socially-inclined, “The Heresy” is a melodic, haunting rally cry that showcases the stunning lead vocals of Ms. Jackie. Vocalist J Mann described the track as, “The soundtrack to a dystopian delirium, cinematic and surreal!”
Today, the Los Angeles-based, Norwegian-born singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche released his ninth studio album Patience. After living in New York City for over a decade, the album is his first since relocating to the west coast. Recorded mostly in Norway, the inspiration for this record comes from a recently discovered love of ambient music, running marathons and a quest for serenity.
Joy Downer’s Debut LP “Paper Moon” Out Now
LA musician Joy Downer has released her debut LP Paper Moon today, independently via AWAL. The 9-song album was self-produced and recorded at home over the past year by Joy and her musical collaborator and partner Jeffery Downer and is available to purchase HERE via Bandcamp – with all release day proceeds being donated to Black Lives Matter LA – and is available for streaming via all DSPs. Earlier this week, Joy Downer released the title track with a music video directed by John Knipp, which premiered via FLOOD Magazine and can be watched below.

Today, Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley releases powerful anthem “Mr.Officer”. The song boldly addresses the issue of police brutality alongside a poetic hook with the assistance of Queen Naija and the children of the Detroit Youth Choir. As protests across the country continue, Tee explains the importance of releasing the song by saying “I got a million experiences I can touch on in my music, but I couldn’t make another song without speaking on what’s going on. I’m not a politician or activist but right now it’s everybody’s job to speak up because the pain, the struggle for equality and the brutality is real”.

A foundational figure in the South Florida SoundCloud scene, Ronny J never tires of finding new worlds to conquer. Showing off his vocal talent with an ode to his adopted hometown, Ronny shares “Miami,” his new single. Brimming with Ronny’s signature distortion, “Miami” is a tuneful and bass-heavy slice of urbano, offering a booming reggaeton beat and mosh pit-ready 808s. Huntington Beach, CA-based classic country singer-songwriter Victoria Bailey is set to release “Honky Tonk Woman,” the first single from her forthcoming album, on June 5, 2020 via Rock Ridge Music. “Honky Tonk Woman” is a melancholy, twangy anthem to the places where she fell in love with live country music. Putchewin Payne (Sewaside Squad, G.G.S.E.) is “that artist” who truly makes music for himself and doesn’t sound like anyone you’ve heard. Hailing from Marlboro MA, inspired by the underground and influenced by the culture of oldschool Hip Hop; Putchewins’ style is motivational, relatable, and entertaining.
