After getting his start with The Louvin Brothers, Jimmy went on to become one of the most sought after session players in Nashville. Some of the incredible recordings you can hear Capps on are The Oak Ridge Boys’ “Elvira,” “Sail Away,” Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man,” Barbara Mandrell’s “Sleeping Single In A Double Bed,” “I was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool,” George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” Ronnie Milsap’s “Smokey Mountain Rain,” and “Legend In My Time,” as well as other artists such as Janie Fricke, Lacy J. As a staff member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1967, Capps has remained a solid foundation in Music City and can be seen on Country’s Family Reunion and as “Sheriff” Jimmy Capps on Larry’s Country Diner. Jimmy was not only a musical prodigy, but a friend to many in the music and entertainment industry.

Mighty WARKINGS to Release New Album “Revenge”

WARKINGS Warriors – Prepare yourself! A new crusade arises with the mighty WARKINGS and their new album Revenge, to be released via Napalm Records on July 31st! The band enters the battleground and faces ghoulish demons with the formidable weapon made of pure Heavy Metal. The four ancient kings, a roman Tribune, a wild Viking, a noble Crusader and a martial Spartan, gathered in the halls of Valhalla, escape from the realms of obscurity and steal their souls from the Lord of the Abyss. In a bloodthirsty furor, the demons seek revenge on the WARKINGS but Odin’s legates are more than ready to vanquish the Monarchs of the dusk with their hard-hitting anthems. ALIEN TANGO releases literary inspired freak-pop single ‘Arthur Conan Doyle’ via GROUND CONTROL

London transplant from Spain Alien Tango leans on the literary for his latest release, as he pens a surreal ode to ‘Arthur Conan Doyle’. It’s a bouncy weirdo-pop tune touching on various genres, all filtered through his unique musical mind. Accompanying it is a video featuring two time-travelling versions of the 19th century writer, stranded in our current world. He explains:

This self-titled debut album is a showcase of Rosa’s own songs, together with a few cuts which were penned for Rosa by the likes of Clif Magness (Steve Perry, Avril Lavigne), Nasson (Chaos Magic, Sinner’s Blood), and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, JORN, Revolution Saints etc.). Produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio, this awesome record should not be missed by anyone who has a penchant for melodic hard rock with a contemporary edge.

Pabst share video for new single “My Apocalypse”

Berlin’s Pabst are today sharing the video for brand-new single My Apocalypse, a song through which they channel their emotionally-charged fuzzed-out punk in order to confront past relationships and the lasting impact they can have through life. Vocalist and guitarist Erik Heise explains:

“”Ballad of a Young Troubadour,” taken from my forthcoming album out June 18th, The Ridge, harkens back to my early days as a travelling musician. When I was in high school, I really began to work heavily on my songwriting and my acoustic guitar playing. It was like a religion to me and it still is.”

EARTH ROT Shares New Live Video for “Unraveling Vapour of Sanity”

EARTH ROT comments: “While we can’t tour or even meet up to create a video, our good friend NJV Media has pieced this video together for ‘Unravelling Vapour Of Sanity’ from our Melbourne show of the Dread Rebirth tour in March. While we spend our isolation starving off madness, this track seems the appropriate choice.”

Listen to Bananagun’s new single “The Master”

Regarding the track, bandleader Nick van Bakel stated: “The Master is kind of about evacuating yourself from the absurd but typical life of working your arse into the ground for someone else and how no matter where you’re working or how high up the ladder you are in that world, there’s always a person up higher bossing you around or someone you’re trying to please. I just hate when people flex too much and don’t respect people; that’s what the majority of people deal with their whole life. It’s miserable and there’s no room for stuff to blossom. The trash that’s suggested in school, movies, and everything; have all your milestones planned out. You wanna make god laugh tell him you’ve got your life planned!”

Filmed with multiple cameras in Ultra HD and with the highest quality audio, this iconic venue will be transformed into a beautiful setting for this special live event. Laura will perform a full set of songs from her catalogue along with songs from her new album Song For Our Daughter. Tickets are limited, and available to fans in the UK and Europe only.

Fusilier Becomes “Gay Guerilla” on “Dancing In The Street” (Brassland)

Gothamist once described Blake Fusilier’s sound as “something you’d hear in a nightclub at the end of the world.” Last week that narrative shifted with the release of a meditative, deeply felt drone-ballad “Upstream.” NPR Music praised it as a “slow core revival” and Paste Magazine called it a “sweeping, minimal R&B-pop song led by awe-inspiring strings,” and one of the best songs of May, while The Line of Best Fit in the UK named it “Song of The Day.”

Les Nuby Readies New LP for July Release

“Of the track, Nuby says ‘This is a song about not being fooled again. And not giving up hope. Walking through fire.’ It’s an (indie) rock workout, with chiming guitar lines and driving back line setting up these harmony soaked melodies, delivered by Nuby’s persuasive vocals that park themselves in your mind and have you reaching for repeat.” – Backsteat Mafia
