Tessy Lou Williams Features Classic Country Heartbreak
Tessy Lou Williams’ self-titled solo debut, out today, is deeply rooted in traditional country music influences, with the kind of songs you hope to be playing on a dancehall stage when you walk in or emanating from the jukebox when the band isn’t there.
Written primarily in Nashville, and recorded at Station West, Williams and producer Luke Wooten collaborated with an ace band to create the collection that AudioFemme says is “bound to satisfy any traditional country fan’s appetite.” The band included Bryan Sutton (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin), Mike Johnson (pedal steel, dobro, pedalbro), Aubrey Haney (fiddle), Ashley Campbell (banjo), and background vocals from Carl Jackson, Jerry Salley, Jon Randall, Wes Hightower and Brennen Leigh, just to name a few.

Skooly celebrated the release of Nobody Likes Me with an incredible album listening party and viewing of his documentary at Atlanta’s legendary Startlight Drive-In Theatre. Fans were able to enjoy his new musical effort in the safest way possible – from the comfort of their cars. The past weeks have also seen Skooly setting the table with appetizer tracks ahead of Nobody Likes Me. The tested Atlanta singer and rapper dropped “Nasty” alongside its Next Friday-inspired companion visual. That release was preceded by the objective “Mulatto” and the official video he co-directed. Italian sludge metal band Old Roger’s Revenge washes ashore with its latest release, The Vengeance of Blackbeard. This latest album is the follow-up to the band’s 2015 EP, The Sealane. Old Roger’s Revenge has a sound as heavy and fierce as a storm, and the band wants to encourage listeners to always fight for what they want in life with its pirate image.

Los Angeles-based, Norwegian-born singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche will release his ninth studio album Patience on June 5th. After living in New York City for over a decade, the album is his first since relocating to the west coast. Recorded mostly in Norway, the inspiration for this record comes from a recently discovered love of ambient music, running marathons, and a quest for serenity. Today he released his new single “That’s All There Is,” which ponders our lives and the lives of our loved ones as a stream of beautiful images and recollections. French producers and brothers Supernaive are releasing new single ‘Warriors, taken from their debut album Nekomata.
Recorded between Paris and Tokyo, the record features elements of electronica and RnB akin to the esoteric stylings Jamie xx or Mount Kimbie. The brothers nod to French Touch while drawing on Japanese cultural reference points, most obviously in the masks they wear which are a symbol of eternal youth in Japanese Noh theatre.

“Basically the song was inspired by my personal experiences in many toxic relationships that really took a mental toll on me over the years. Mac McAnally To Release New Album Once in a Lifetime On July 31st
“To work with Mac is to work with a master,” boasts country music singer-songwriter, Drake White. Of course, he’s talking about the one and only Mac McAnally; Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and ten-time CMA Musician of the Year, not to mention a tenured member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. McAnally and White co-wrote “Once in a Lifetime,” the first single from McAnally’s upcoming album of the same title.
