“When I put out the original version of “Type 2,” I knew it wasn’t done. The song told my side of the story but left out 50% of the perspective it needed, and that’s exactly what Chloe brought. I’m so honored to have her on the song as a friend, but also as the dynamic and killer artist that she is. I love the opportunity to really re-work a record for a new version – not just putting a new verse on it – and that’s exactly what Chloe and I put our hearts into doing.”
The new tracks reflect two sides of NEEDTOBREATHE’s dynamic sound. Fueled by sweeping guitars and a massive beat, “Hang On” serves up an arena-ready chorus with an empowering and timely message. It doubles as a clarion call for a world in need of a little hope.

“When I made “Crash Flow” I just wanted an anthem for the people to turn up to,” says Rae Rae “It’s really self-explanatory I ain’t trippin bout no b***h, no I ain’t crashing bout no h**, we focused 2020 and we bout to take over.”
Nashville-by-way-of-New England singer/songwriter Glenn Thomas released new single “Give A Damn” via The Bluegrass Situation. “Give A Damn” appears on his forthcoming LP Reassure Me There’s A Window, out May 15th via Palace Flophouse Records. “I wrote this song in the beginning stages of a new relationship I was in,” Thomas explains of the rowdy, pedal steel-laden track. “I really cared about the person and wanted it to work, but still carried the ghosts of past relationships and dating woes. I felt like I didn’t really have anything new to bring to the table, but ultimately what mattered was I cared and was going to do what it took to make it work. Ultimately, the past is exactly that — the past,” he continues. “I remember sitting on a friend’s speedboat a couple of summers ago getting bounced around by the waves, and the fast up and down movement put this melody into my head. I had the lyrics in my phone notes and sang it into a voice memo right there on the boat.”
LOUD HOUND is the solo project of East Coast songwriter/ producer Tommy Florio. With influences spanning across all genres and eras, LOUD HOUND’s sound is not easy to pin down, yet his lo-fi guitar sound and lyrical topics seem to be the common denominator. His music carries a weight, a sense of longing and isolation, stemming from never staying in one place for too long. Raised in the desert, the musician moved all around the east coast as a kid, until eventually landing on an isolated island in New Jersey… for now.
YG RELEASES FAN-PIECE “LAUGH NOW KRY LATER” VIA DEF JAM RECORDINGS

“I knew my time was coming. I love to create a raw fan base. I started my own wave,” he says. “People think you have to be famous in order to be an artist, but you don’t. No matter if you got a fanbase or no followers, you just gotta keep your image and go with the flow. Eventually people will believe in you one day.”
Breezy, bright and bouncy, new single “Alaska” from Little Hurt (aka Colin Dieden – ex singer/guitarist of The Mowglis) is an instant Alt.Pop classic that is destined to be one of the sing-along songs of the summer. Buoyed by a featured slot on the just released “Now That’s What I Call Music! 74” compilation as a “What’s Next’ artist, the song is also being supported by an aggressive social media campaign to drive awareness to old and new fans alike.
Speaking to the inspiration for the song, Dieden says: ‘Alaska’ was the second song I wrote after starting Little Hurt. It came from a deep desire to separate myself from some aspects of my past that I found painful. That feeling of wanting to throw away everything you’ve ever known and start again”.

PERCY unveil video for frenzied, vitriolic governmental anti-anthem ‘Will Of The People’
Yorkshire based Percy gained notoriety in the early nineties when their home brand of left-field post-punk led to a record deal with legendary Leeds label Mook Records and consequently airplay from John Peel & Steve Lamacq. Vol 1: Frequency was inspired using sound frequencies to help treat ailments including insomnia, anxiety, depression and Parkinson’s disease around the world.
“One of my favorite quotes is from Nikola Tesla. He said, “if you wish to understand the universe- think of energy, frequency, and vibration”. The purpose of this project is to introduce people to healing frequencies. The best way to do this was to make music that has the same vibe as what they are listening to right now and tune the song to 432Hz. So regardless of the lyrics or beat- the healing frequency can have a positive impact on the person listening to my music.”
Chicago’s TrenchMobb Plot Their Imminent Takeover in “On A Mission” Video
Crafting aspirational rap music with melody and verve, TrenchMobb is taking the streets of Chicago by storm. Posting up in their West Side kitchen, TrenchMobb shares “On A Mission,” their latest video single. Driven by a stutter-stepping piano line, “On A Mission” is a hard-hitting slice of melodic drill, as JR007 and Lil Jaydoe swap auto-tuned bars about their ever-growing bags: “Oh, I’m on a mission/To run up the racks and make all the money go ’round.” In the video, premiered by Dirty Glove Bastard, the two rhymers practice responsible social distancing in their Chicago apartment, counting up cash and cutting up weight with the assistance of two scantily-clad cooks.
MIKE MAGO & KELLI-LEIGH COLLABORATE ON NEW SINGLE, “ON REPEAT,” OUT TODAY
“I have been a fan of Kelli-Leigh’s voice for ages and really felt her lyrics when I first heard her acapella demo for ‘On Repeat.’ Of course, I think she can make any lyric sound great!” recalls Mike Mago. “I tried to match the lyrical concept of the song with something musically that has a repetitive drive but still sounds adventurous – hence the loop that varies in timing. It was truly one of those processes that just seemed to work from the get-go.”
“As 2019 drew to a close, we started digging into songs we hadn’t played in quite some time,” says Neil Fallon. “We had forgotten how much we enjoyed playing Smoke Banshee. The version on Pure Rock Fury is a hybrid of a live and studio performance. So when we made our list of candidates for the Vault Series, it was an easy choice to give Smoke Banshee a full studio recording.” The single was recently rerecorded and remixed by J. Robbins (Jawbox, Jawbreaker, The Sword, Against Me!) and the track comes in at 3:46. “Smoke Banshee” was originally released in 2001 on Clutch’s album Pure Rock Fury.
