Layering synths, guitars, electronic percussion, and live drums, Houses of Heaven fuses early industrial and techno rhythms with the melodicism of shoegaze and a heavy dose of dub-influenced effects. Formed in Oakland, California by Keven Tecon, Adam Beck, and Nick Ott, the band follows up the Remnant EP with their first full-length album titled Silent Places. Written against the backdrop of the Northern California wildfires, ever-growing tent cities and the continued rise of empty luxury housing in the Bay Area, the album explores the intimate experiences that transpire within the chaotic confines of modern living.

RADIAN: The Obelisk Premieres “Not Dying” Video From Ohio Doom/Sludge Dealers
Writes The Obelisk of the album in part, “their debut long-player, Chapters, smashes and crashes with just that extra bit of aggression one finds underlying the most satisfying of sludge metals. Samples and clean vocals add flourish to the nine-minute opener and longest track (immediate points) ‘Stonier,’ and even the three-minute centerpiece ‘Beast’ of the five-track offering launches with a sense of atmosphere before unleashing its full bludgeon, but the crux of Chapters is roaring and pissed off and the formative dynamic in the tracks serves as much to highlight that as it does to contrast it.”

NEEDTOBREATHE announce new album ‘Out Of Body’
The new tracks reflect two sides of NEEDTOBREATHE’s dynamic sound. Fueled by sweeping guitars and a massive beat, ‘Hang On’ serves up an arena-ready chorus with an empowering and timely message. It doubles as a clarion call for a world in need of a little hope.
“Sometimes it’s nice to look back and reminisce on some of the best parts of growing up: when you were a kid and there were no limits in the world, when you first fell in love, or when you first left your small town for something new,” the band shared.
Recorded at Warrior Sound in Chapel Hill, NC with seasoned engineer, Al Jacob, the album blends rock and blues sensibility with Americana, folk, and country to create a tapestry of swampy southern-tinged sounds. All of the songs on the album were written by singer / guitarist George Hage with a common thread that weaves its way through telling us to stand strong as we ride out the highs and lows of what life throws at us. And with the state of the world today, it’s even more poignant to relay this message and to remind us that we are all creatures of this earth and we can overcome anything.
