Roxy Girls share new single ‘Dirtier’
Today, Sunderland post-punk 4-piece Roxy Girls return with the announcement of their frenetic new single ‘Dirtier’. The single is taken from their new EP ‘A Wealth Of Information’, which is due out 5th June 2020 via Moshi Moshi Records.
Last Friday, on April 10th, 2020 Zoltan Bathory, founding guitarist of global multi-platinum rock band Five Finger Death Punch has visited state troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) in Las Vegas just 2 weeks after fellow state trooper Sgt Ben Jenkins was tragically murdered while assisting a stranded motorist in Ely, Nevada.
Being a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada Bathory is a major supporter of his local law enforcement, as well as law enforcement throughout the country. He frequently visits police departments to talk with officers and discuss various topics affecting law enforcement.
Smoke Fairies Release Surprise Single Today
Smoke Fairies have surprised fans by releasing an exclusive and unheard new track ‘No Matter How This Goes, Just Make Sure That You’re Kind.’ Recorded with producer Phil Ek in Seattle last year for their recent critically acclaimed Darkness Brings The Wonders Home album, the track was initially held back. However, the band, Jessica Davies & Katherine Blamire, feel the song to be so pertinent to the current world health crisis they wanted to share its message of love. With the uncertain times we are living in, there are bands like Detroit alt-rock noisemakers The Messenger Birds who have just the right words to say in songs like “Play Dead (Just For Tonight).” Today, the power-packed duo debuted the poignant single and video that touch on current themes with provocative visuals and a strong message delivered through a refined musical tone.
Dougie Poole, the Brooklyn-based country musician and songwriter, will be a familiar name to many in the DIY music scene. After coming of age in Providence, Rhode Island Poole has long had ties to several artists in the experimental music scene including Jerry Paper with whom he toured nationally while playing in Paper’s live band, and in 2019 he appeared on the Drugdealer album Raw Honey, drawing praise from Pitchfork for his “sad-eyed Elvis croon” on the track “Wild Motion.”

Lil Keed drops off a new track and music video for “New Dealings” via 300 Entertainment. The quarantine style video shows a blend of in-home shots alongside footage from his headlining North American tour last year. As of recently, Keed’s singles “HBS” and “Snake” off of his debut album Long Live Mexico have gone viral on Tik Tok generating new dance crazes. Last year, Buzzfeed named “HBS” one of the “top ten dances on Tik Tok” and “Snake” follows closely behind with over a million video creates to date. Ready to start a new chapter, Lil Keed is also gearing up to release his new project Trapped On Cleveland 3 this year.
“Carry The Weight” does in fact carry a lot of weight; emotions run high and mounting tension is evident. Rituals of Mine is the emotionally dense electronic recording project of Los Angeles-based songwriter Terra Lopez and live percussionist Adam Pierce. Singer-songwriter and pop artist Johnny Orlando unveiled his brand new single “See You” this morning via Universal Music Canada and Island Records. Co-written by acclaimed songwriters Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, renforshort, Chase Rice), Sam Fischer (Demi Lovato, Keith Urban, Jessie J), Derik Baker (Virginia to Vegas) and Mike Wise (Allie X, bülow, Dvbbs), who also produced the track in collaboration with Orlando this past January, the song is about still having feelings for someone after a break-up and wanting to see them.
Today ONO is releasing a new single, titled “Coon”. Premiered yesterday by AFROPUNK, the track recalls the racist slur that appeared on signs and was uttered by white people around Chicago neighborhoods in the year 1919.
The 11-song set was produced by the two-time Grammy Award winning producer Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker) and is her New West Records debut. The album features Jennings on the song “Hurt So Bad” and Neal Casal on guitar, harmonica, and wurlitzer in one of his final recordings before his death in August of 2019. Neon Cross is the anticipated follow up to Wyatt’s 2017 Felony Blues EP, which was named one of the best albums of the year by Rolling Stone Country, Vice/Noisey, Wide Open Country and more.

World-renowned Roots Rock Violinist SCARLET RIVERA new EP “All of Me” – out this Friday 4/17/20
World-renowned violinist and composer Scarlet Rivera blazed the trail for rock violinists when she was featured on Bob Dylan’s legendary Rolling Thunder Revue in 1975. Today, she proudly presents her vocal debut album, All of Me. The 6-track EP is Scarlet’s 12th solo body of work and is set to release on April 17, 2020 on Bright Sun Records.
The album features a duet with critically acclaimed actor John Hawkes and Australian-born, LA-based singer/songwriter Joel Taylor. Madera produced a bulk of the the album herself, with some help from Paul Redel (mixing on Leslie Odom’s recent album and engineered the 2017 ZZ Ward album), mixing by Ryan Hewitt (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Sheryl Crow), mastered by Eric Boulanger of The Bakery Studios (Hozier, Randy Newman, Harry Connick, Jr, Rufus Wainwright, Neil Young) and featuring incredible strings by Stevie Blacke (Pink, Chris Stapleton, Rihanna).
