CORONAVIRUS: HOW GERMAN BAND HAVE LIKENED THEIR NEW SINGLE TO THE PANDEMIC

Feline & Strange are back with their latest single ‘Can’t Breathe’. Taken from their upcoming sixth studio album, Trigger Warning.

The album is called Trigger Warning for a reason – the songs show no mercy, displaying a frighteningly powerful assault of piano-heavy cabaret punk and rugged electronic darkwave, through the abysses of mankind: the knee-jerk alarmism regularly seen across social media; climate disaster; Queer issues and mental health struggles.

Following on from the powerful themes – the band’s latest single ‘Can’t Breathe’ is being likened thematically to the current panic with the coronavirus outbreak. With the symptoms of coronavirus typically being struggling to breathe and impacting mostly on those who have respiratory issues – the lyrics for their new track couldn’t be more fitting. With the German health minister just recently saying the virus is now a world-wide pandemic – the group are hoping people who will be frantically searching for solutions by typing things into YouTube, might instead come across their song that although is in no way comforting, is definitely relatable!
