OKLOU AND MURA MASA PREMIERE NEW SONG “ENTERTNMNT,” VIDEO OUT NOW
Shot on an isolated lunar landscape, the video explores the experience of self-reflection. “I wanted to visually create a space that captured that feeling,” explains Green. “Oklou’s vocals are of central importance to the track, so it seemed fitting to keep her as the focal point of the video.”
In Mayniel’s own words, the single is about the contrast of feeling strong on the outside but weak inside: “people see you as strong and proud but you’re crying on the inside, putting up a fake smile.”
Throughout Call the Captain, three-part vocal harmonies add heft and meaning to each song, with a distinct rhythmic agreement among the singers, revealing a shared belief of just how music should be made. The album was recorded and mixed in the studio of Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds, former bass player for Band of Horses and one of Nashville’s most innovative roots music producers. “Even if there are drums, electric guitars, and synthesizers, we all like to come at the music in a similar way as we would approach a bluegrass song; supporting the lead singer, singing harmonies, and letting the instrumentalists be featured,” explains Morrison.
Gareth Inkster – Presenting “Used to It”
“I self-produced “Used to It,” using auxiliary percussion noises and an acoustic grand piano to capture my desired sound. While its lyrics are opaquely sad, even despairing, it was important to me to create a steady feel throughout.
During the song’s writing, I was essentially trying to articulate what I was going through so that I could take it out of my head, as it were, and look at it from different angles – study it.”
BREAKOUT ARTIST BRELAND REACHES #1 WITH HIS VIRAL HIT “MY TRUCK”
“Breland’s energy and talent are infectious and we felt that as soon as he walked in the room to meet with us,” says Kevin Weaver, Atlantic Records President, West Coast. “‘My Truck’ has all of the indicators of being a massively reactive record, and most importantly it only touches the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Breland’s dynamic sound. As a true artist, producer and songwriter, his music will transcend genres. We believe he’s in a lane all of his own.”

Perfecting his blend of country and street sensibilities, Beezy shares “Keep It In The Streets,” his new single. Reverberating with minor-key guitars, “Keep It In The Streets” is a modern-day blues ballad, mournfully and honestly addressing harsh realities through song. Alternating melodies and rapidfire rhymes, Beezy doles out pearls of street wisdom, designed to help people survive in this cold world: “Gotta be stronger, than greed and hunger/Said keep a strap and watch your back and you’ll live longer.” “Keep It In The Streets” is the HITCO-signed rapper’s first new song of 2020.

Melodic Death Metal Beasts WOLFHEART to Release New Album, Wolves Of Karelia
Just as wildlife itself maintains harmony with a violent clash of beauty and unpredictability, Wolves of Karelia explores the band’s previously coined genre of “winter metal” – smoothly bridging a traditional approach of extreme genres with tracks like the breakneck epic “Reaper”, while maintaining atmospheric and acoustic elements on songs such as the bludgeoning wall-of-sound “The Hammer” and grandiose “Horizon on Fire”. Crowned by the deeply stunning instrumental interlude “Eye of the Storm”, Wolves of Karelia could easily go down in metal history as WOLFHEART’s most intense record.
Matt Couchois of atmospheric indie-pop project, fakelife, has had his share of music biz “almosts” in a career that has included partnering with a superstar manager and experiencing something of a label signing frenzy. Cinematic indie album ‘Leva’ from Guitarist Erki Pärnoja
For his fourth album “Leva”, Estonian guitarist and songwriter Erki Pärnoja offers seven tracks that on the one hand retain influences of its predecessors “Himmelbjerget” (2015), “Efterglow” (2017) and “Saja Lugu” (2018) but on the other hand form a fresh and independent entirety in the musical path of the Tallinn based musician. Recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden early 2019, the album sets a milestone in his discography for many reasons — besides the dreamy-reverby soundscapes and mercurial telecaster lines one can now hear a more orchestral perspective to Pärnoja’s melodic language. A musical turn is also marked by a notable reference to hypnotic grooves and sounds of the 70s.
