New Jersey-based pop punk/emo band Wave Break have released a music video for their new single “Out Of Breath” via Ghost Killer Entertainment. The video comes just a week and half after the digital release, and the song quickly rose to become their fastest-streaming song on Spotify. The boisterous pop punk track is the band’s first release since their 2018 debut EP “Armory,” and is a rather personal release for lead vocalist Kelly Barber. Rounded out with bassist Ken Rapsas, Wave Break has underwent multiple lineup changes since their debut EP release. Barber’s feelings of frustration fueled the creation of “Out Of Breath,” and the result is a dynamic and emo rock powerhouse. The music video is a testament to the band’s live energy, highlighting an emotionally-charged performance by Barber. Just their first release of the new year, Wave Break is gearing up to continue on through 2020 with a vast amount of momentum.

Eric Clapton & Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker took place at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith in London on February 17, 2020. World-renowned guitarist Eric Clapton organized this one-time-only concert honoring former Cream and Blind Faith bandmate Ginger Baker and his lifetime in music. All proceeds of the evening went towards the charity Leonard Cheshire, which supports disabled people in the UK and around the world.

Empty Country (Joe D’Agostino of Cymbals Eat Guitars) Shares “SWIM” With Pitchfork

On the track D’Agostino shares, “SWIM = Someone Who Isn’t Me. It’s a character sketch, as many of the songs on Empty Country are. The narrator is a composite of several people I met or observed while living in Kensington, a neighborhood in Philadelphia gravely affected by the ongoing opioid emergency in the United States. One day my wife Rachel pointed out in passing that some of our neighbors had old faces. She didn’t mean “old” in the sense that they were aging prematurely (though some certainly were), but that they had the faces of Dustbowl-era farmers we had seen in books and films.

Farmer Dave Scher’s freaky West Coast psych-jazz-folk project Californiosos

California mystical psych-jazz-folk duo Californiosos releases their new single “The Wanderer” today via Independent Release. The track comes from their self-titled album that is also out today. The project is the brainchild of Farmer Dave Scher and Michael Vest. Farmer Dave is known for his work with acts like Jenny Lewis, Cass McCombs, Kurt Vile, Vetiver and Father John Misty.

Eyedress is the alias of Filipino artist Idris Vicuña, formerly lead guitarist of psychedelic indie/noise-pop band Bee Eyes. Born in 1990 in the city of Makati, Philippines. Vicuña relocated to the US with his family at the age of 6. He was raised in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to San Clemente, California at the age of 13, where he started playing bass in a Crass-influenced crust-punk band.
