SY SMITH Releases Music Video For Her New Single, “CAMELOT”
“CAMELOT” was written and produced by Sy Smith. The beautiful scenic visuals of the music video were directed by Shawn Carter Peterson and shot on an iPhone 10 device. The video was shot in Tanzania, East Africa. It opens on the island of Zanzibar featuring its expansive beaches and inland in the Jozani Forest. Later we join Sy on safari in different parts of the vast East African nation’s landscape – the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

SWIMMER was first heralded last November by Tennis’ first new music in almost three years, “Runner.” The song was joined by a colorful companion video directed by longtime collaborator Luca Venter, and inspired by Moore’s love of “old musicals and all things Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and Bob Fosse.”
Regarding the video, Eyedress stated: “Back in December I found out my friend, director Angela Stephenson was coming to LA and we discussed filming a video over DM’s but had no idea what or when. EDEN RELEASES NEW ALBUM — NO FUTURE — TODAY ON ASTRALWERKS
Vocalist/producer/multi-instrumentalist EDEN releases his new album, no future, today via Astralwerks. On his sophomore release, EDEN takes an outward-looking perspective with the looming threat of the climate crisis informing much of his songwriting. But while its songs often return to themes of finality and loss, no future unfolds with an unlikely splendor that ultimately makes for a transcendent listening experience. As with all his music, no future was recorded and self-produced in EDEN’s home studio in Dublin.
“Presidente” – which was recently named “Song of the Month” by Zumba – marks the popular arrival of a truly unique new artist. In 2018, WOST was selling his authentic, house party beats on SoundCloud, hoping to raise enough funds to buy a $200 computer. However, after hearing the young Venezuelan artist’s distinctive tracks, Waxploitation Records stepped in. The influential label, known for managing and developing such genre-busting, GRAMMY® Award-winning artists as Gnarls Barkley and Danger Mouse, signed WOST to a major contract, smuggling a computer to him via Bogota, Columbia to seal the deal.

New Zealand-born pop artist Robinson releases her debut EP Watching You today. The dreamy brand of heartbreak pop Robinson is known for resonates throughout the record. “Watching You” was written mostly in London and produced by Sam de Jong.

“I wrote ‘Brain Upon Your Pillow’ as a kind of Latin-y folk ballad, all finger picked guitar. It was written in the midst of Autre Monde really finding its feet, understanding what we were as a band, and it was just natural that it would become this groove thing with a hint of desperation and drama. That Grace Jones Pull Up to the Bumper beat, we’d be happy to play it for hours, so the song stretches out on it a bit before taking its other turns.
Mark Fredson Announces Debut Solo Album ‘Going To The Movies’ Out May 15
Mark Fredson has announced his solo debut album Going to the Movies will release on May 15. A full-bodied, cinematic spectacle, Going to the Movies showcases a mix of straight-faced sincerity and super-sized swagger, resulting in a pop/rock opera of sorts. Fredson has also shared “To The Moonlight”, the jealousy-fueled debut single featuring his dark, evocative vocals and a raging saxophone solo. Accompanying the track is a gripping, Stanley Kubrick-style video, with a lead character who unravels in real time before a major confrontation.
Zachery Allan Starkey (ft. Bernard Sumner/New Order) Shares “XXX” Via MXDWN
Zachery Allan Starkey has released “XXX”, the second single and video off of his forthcoming album, FEAR CITY. Composed, performed, and produced by Starkey, “XXX ” is a symphonic Techno odyssey that plunges the listener deep into the pure hedonistic ecstasy of New York City nightlife, taking them on a sensual journey from the heart of the dance floor to the pleasure and climax that only the neon lit city of night can offer. Using analogue synthesizers and intricate arrangements, Starkey creates a throbbing, pulsing arpeggiated Techno bass line, then adds soaring lead melodies and pounding drums and percussion (inspired by the sound of the New York subway system), creating a a dynamic club track that brings to mind the best work of electronic pioneers Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley, whilst pushing the track firmly into the future.
Self-recorded by the band at Plutonium Studios and mixed by Miro Mackie (St. Vincent, Hatchie, DZ Deathrays), Rushmore follows the Future Haunts’ 2016 debut EP Rubicon. Six tracks deep, Rushmore EP features previous singles, ‘Weather Vane’ and ‘Fall In Line’, which collectively received spins on triple j’s 2019 with Richard Kingsmill, Home & Hosed and Mornings, alongside ‘Far Away’ which premiered on Home & Hosed. The EP also presents three unheard tracks, ‘Silence Is Golden’, ‘Jesus Tote Bag’, and ‘Slow Evolve’. Traversing political themes and questioning the zeitgeist, Future Haunts have created a poignant statement piece.
