SY SMITH Releases Music Video For Her New Single, “CAMELOT”
“CAMELOT” was written and produced by Sy Smith. The beautiful scenic visuals of the music video were directed by Shawn Carter Peterson and shot on an iPhone 10 device. The video was shot in Tanzania, East Africa. It opens on the island of Zanzibar featuring its expansive beaches and inland in the Jozani Forest. Later we join Sy on safari in different parts of the vast East African nation’s landscape – the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

That Grace Jones Pull Up to the Bumper beat, we’d be happy to play it for hours, so the song stretches out on it a bit before taking its other turns.
Mark Fredson Announces Debut Solo Album ‘Going To The Movies’ Out May 15
Mark Fredson has announced his solo debut album Going to the Movies will release on May 15. A full-bodied, cinematic spectacle, Going to the Movies showcases a mix of straight-faced sincerity and super-sized swagger, resulting in a pop/rock opera of sorts. Fredson has also shared “To The Moonlight”, the jealousy-fueled debut single featuring his dark, evocative vocals and a raging saxophone solo. Accompanying the track is a gripping, Stanley Kubrick-style video, with a lead character who unravels in real time before a major confrontation.

Zachery Allan Starkey has released “XXX”, the second single and video off of his forthcoming album, FEAR CITY. Composed, performed, and produced by Starkey, “XXX ” is a symphonic Techno odyssey that plunges the listener deep into the pure hedonistic ecstasy of New York City nightlife, taking them on a sensual journey from the heart of the dance floor to the pleasure and climax that only the neon lit city of night can offer. Using analogue synthesizers and intricate arrangements, Starkey creates a throbbing, pulsing arpeggiated Techno bass line, then adds soaring lead melodies and pounding drums and percussion (inspired by the sound of the New York subway system), creating a a dynamic club track that brings to mind the best work of electronic pioneers Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley, whilst pushing the track firmly into the future.
FUTURE HAUNTS ‘Rushmore’ EP OUT NOW
Self-recorded by the band at Plutonium Studios and mixed by Miro Mackie (St. Vincent, Hatchie, DZ Deathrays), Rushmore follows the Future Haunts’ 2016 debut EP Rubicon. Six tracks deep, Rushmore EP features previous singles, ‘Weather Vane’ and ‘Fall In Line’, which collectively received spins on triple j’s 2019 with Richard Kingsmill, Home & Hosed and Mornings, alongside ‘Far Away’ which premiered on Home & Hosed. The EP also presents three unheard tracks, ‘Silence Is Golden’, ‘Jesus Tote Bag’, and ‘Slow Evolve’. Traversing political themes and questioning the zeitgeist, Future Haunts have created a poignant statement piece.
